The Hume Room and the Spiritbar are our two large venues that can accommodate a wedding reception. The Spiritbar comes equipped with a stage and all the audio visual equipment you will ever need.

Custom Catering + Menus

We are also equipped as a fully mobile catering service and can arrive at the location of your choice. We also rent white wedding chairs, rectangular or round tables, silverware, glassware and china. Discounts on rentals are offered to groups that choose the Hume for their catering needs. Named after the hotel founder J. Fred Hume, this beautiful room boasts rich wooden wainscotting, a full bar, and 2 large retractable screens with projectors. Capable of hosting up to 150 people seated, the Hume Room is perfect for weddings.

Spiritbar

This world-class cabaret venue offers a one of a kind setting for a wedding party for up to 170 people seated. With different levels and side stages, there are no bad seats here. A large stage, separate dance floor, and fully equipped bar and DJ booth allow for a completely customizable and unforgettable evening. The full licensed capacity of the Spiritbar is 300 persons.

The Benwell Lounge

Named after former owner George Benwell, this beautiful lounge is a perfect room for a stand-up wedding reception of up to 70 guests. With leather sofas, a pool table, and Jazz legends adorning the walls, this ambient venue is ideal unwind and celebrate.

Half day evenings after 4 pm: $195

The Emporium Room

This private dining room comfortably seats up to 20 wedding guests.

Half Day: $150

Full Day: $200

Great location. Lovely old hotel

Great location. Lovely old hotel in the centre of the town. Very comfortable tasteful decoration. I've stayed in the hotel about six times now over the last 10 years and would stay here again. Recommended for families and couples.

food was amazing the service was excellent

This was our 25th wedding anniversary. My husband and his words said this was the best hotel he ever stayed at and we have stayed at many, including Hotels in New York City! They left a complementary dessert in our fridge for anniversary with a lovely note. The service was excellent the price was excellent which included a wonderful breakfast ❤️ We had supper at the library in the hotel the food was amazing the service was excellent these are just a few of the reasons...

Will definitely stay here again next time

Stayed here for our mini honeymoon over the weekend. Had a great stay, rooms were very nice, quiet and the beds were comfy. Staff at the front desk were very helpful. We ate in the General Store Restaurant 4 times over the course of the weekend and the food and service were awesome. We had Ethan as our server for both dinners and he was fantastic! Also, free cooked to order breakfast every morning was great! Will definitely stay here again next time...

Atmosphere is warm and welcoming

This is our go to place for celebrations. We had our anniversary here and my wife's birthday this last weekend. Customer service is stellar, the food is the best in the Kootenays. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming, breakfast is included with the room. Rooms are charming and very clean, we are already booked for a stay in April. Thank you to everyone there for making our stay memorable!
