Couples also have the flexibility to bring their own vendors for wedding services.HistorySam Fardella transformed the old barn into Fergus Grand Theatre on the main street of Fergus. Louis B. Mayer, the head of MGM in Hollywood, sent Sam best wishes by telegram on the Grand Theatre's opening night on August 28, 1928. Throughout the 1930s, '40s and '50s, the Grand Theatre presented movies, plays, concerts, and other live events. In the late 1960s, Jake Milligan, cable television pioneer, bought the building to house the rapidly growing Fergus-Elora Cable TV, as well as an electronics store. Hugh and Lorraine Drew-Brook bought the theatre in the early 1990s and began professional summer theatre. In the summer of 2003, the theatre on the Grand came to an end, and the building then became the property of the Township of Centre Wellington.
