One of the most spectacular settings for weddings in Western Canada would be historical Blaylock’s Mansion. From the breathtaking viewscape at Blaylock’s, guests can enjoy the magnificent gardens where colors are in constant change throughout the season. Blaylock’s is also an arboretum, with one of the finest collections of mature Canadian trees in the country. With many charming and romantic settings for the wedding we leave it up to the bride and groom to pick the location that suits them the best. A night in the Bridal Suite is a wonderful experience for the beginning of a new life together. The luxuriously carpeted suite is larger that many peoples home with a picturesque view of the Kootenay Lake, a fireplace at the end of the bed, a large sitting room and bathroom and a large screen TV. With all the enjoyable aspects of Blaylock’s Mansion it would be hard to find a better location for a memorable wedding. Start off a new chapter in a life with a wedding at Blaylock’s Mansion. This was the most beautiful place we have ever had the privilege to stay at. Banff Springs Hotel, Jasper Park Lodge, other Fairmont properties we have stayed at, do not hold a candle to this unique and very exquisite fairytale. We were met upon arrival by Brett, a very friendly owner with a wealth of knowledge and history to share about the era and the grounds. His wife Jennifer and one of their daughters were also there. To come here is not to stay at a room at a hotel. [...]This was the most beautiful place we have ever had the privilege to stay at. warm and invitingwarm and inviting
We spent three nights at the Blaylock. The family who owns and operates the facility is warm and inviting, making you feel like you are visiting one of your favorite relatives. They offer a homey ambiance that is a delightful change from a standard hotel. They take care of all your needs without intruding on your stay or privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed the home-cooked breakfast and genial, hospitable conversation with the proprietors. To our dismay, it rained one entire day of our stay [...]We spent three nights at the Blaylock. The blaylock is such a perfect wedding destination, with being a wedding planner myself I got the chance to work with the experienced staff/owner. They were so organized, quick, diligent & had quite literally everything you could need! Having the accommodations on site is such a huge bonus with allowing the wedding party to be close to the venue & for all the vendors! They even have a pool for guests which is such a hit the day after a wedding.
