Berkeley North, one of the wedding venues in the Michelin guide for Hamilton, features a West California-inspired interior. The dining room has a unique interior with 100-year brick walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and retractable doors for an indoor-outdoor ambiance.
Reception Options at Berkeley North
This historic Hamilton wedding venue has several options for your wedding celebrations:
- Standing reception: Gorgeous reception on the bar includes a 100-year skylight and a capacity of 65 guests for a vibrant cocktail reception
- Seated private dining reception: The event team at Berkeley North will help you plan the dining experience for 25 – 30 guests
- Midday reception: This unique opportunity to host a brunch reception for two hours during the day, available for a standing reception of 25 guests and seated gatherings of 20 guests
Catering at Berkeley North
Modern standing reception at Berkeley North includes food stations, and a variety of canapé courses served at set timed intervals.
The canapés menu includes meat, seafood and vegetarian items. Available food stations, replenished throughout the event, are:
- Southern BBQ

- Falafel station
- Taco bar
- Nacho Bowl
- Seafood
- Charcuterie & cheese board
- Caesar salad bar
- Crudité, breads and spreads
Seated dinners are arranged as a share-plate meal style with five courses, and featuring steak, seasonal salad, dumplings, Cornish hen and seasonal dessert.
The beverage program at Berkeley North contains some of the best cocktails in Hamilton, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, spirits, craft beers and an extensive wine list. You can choose your beverage selection and cocktails or allow the team to create a unique list and wedding signature cocktails.
Berkeley North wedding venue doesn’t charge a room rental fee. Instead, there are minimum food and beverage requirements for each season and day of the week.

We loved our little booth seat in the corner. The atmosphere was something in between of cozy and intimate. We did our “own tasting menu” and ordered variety of dishes including Fresh cheese & Sourdough, mushroom dumplings, avocado salad, Cornish hen (it was a brand new item on the menu, recommended by our server and it was our favourite), and steak Frites. The cheesecake was not heavy at all. Overall, it was one of the best meals I’ve had. Every ingredient shined on its own but worked so well with each other. The duck gnocchi had lots of flavour. The only feedback is that the wine by the glass only came in 5oz, and not the typical offers of 6oz or 9oz so it did not feel like we had great freedom or value on that. No espresso so you can only do french press (this did not appease the Italian ahaha). The almond cake dessert was not overly sweet which is refreshing, you can Great restaurant, smaller so it books up fast. Andrea was such a lovely server and even ensured that we were able to leave on time to make a show after! Thanks for the wonderful service! The food was INCREDIBLE. Truly, one of the most refreshing and palette-delighting meals I’ve ever had. We tried the Sample menu and had a taste of everything - no regrets! I absolutely cannot wait to return and try more of their fabulous menu! Don’t miss out Just had the most divine dinner at Berkeley North. The service was incredibly friendly and prompt.
