FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

We could never choose one "best" wedding! We are fortunate enough to be witness to so many beautiful design choices and creative personalizations that the list would be pages long! Generally, we hold a soft spot in our hearts for cocktails in the Waterfall Courtyard and subtle, intentional customizations.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Dream. Before you pick up a magazine or wade into the Pinterest waters, try to picture your wedding. What are the things that really mean something to the two of you? Identify your top five priorities as a couple, and the feeling you want your guests and yourselves to have on this day. Once you have this in mind - you will be able to minimize some of the potential overwhelm that comes with exploring all things wedding inspiration.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One of our couples, getting married in mid-November, opted to gift their guests a custom designed wooden Christmas ornament. They displayed these on a beautiful artificial tree, with soft glowing lights and it just worked so perfectly. Now every year as those guests decorate their trees they will remember the day.

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Historic, Artful, Romantic, Authentic, Versatile

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

We have a lovely stone bench tucked behind the Waterfall Courtyard, nestled beside Shaws Creek. In this spot, couples are framed by trees with the waterfall in the back ground - which is stunning of course, but also private, making it perfect for first looks or private vows.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We're not ones to drop names - everyone is VIP here.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

A poutine bar - no question.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our preserved industrial features and the Turbine Room heritage exhibit.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our commitment to growing and evolving as a venue for weddings and home for the arts. While we are proud of all that we offer, we are always open to exploring new or different ways to serve our couples and artists alike.
