Where to Exchange Vows at the Convent Gallery?

This art gallery offers the convenience of hosting a party and ceremony in one place! Pick one of the romantic indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony:

• The Chapel: Private, non-denominational chapel with original stained glass windows, wooden pews and iron candelabras
• The Atrium: Romantic, indoor location for vows exchange, adjacent to the reception area; includes bi-folding doors opening into a four-season garden deck.
• The Garden: Ceremony site on top of Wombat Hill overlooking Daylesford

After the reception, the venue can arrange canapes and drinks for your guests while a newlywed couple takes photos around the Gallery.

Wedding Receptions at the Convent

The Convent only hosts one wedding at a time, and you have the choice of two reception rooms in the venue, both equally beautiful with distinctive features:

• The St Lawrence Room: Adjacent to the Atrium, the room seats up to 60 people while the Atrium serves as a dance floor; there is a balcony overlooking Daylesford
• The St Michael’s Room: Spacious room for 120 guests; includes a dance floor, and bi-folding doors opening into decking with romantic festoon lighting.

There is an additional bar at the venue – The Altar Bar, which you can use as an after-party venue. Since you get the entire venue for exclusive use, you are free to plan your event as you want. 

The Convent offers group menus and tailored options for your wedding. Since this is a full-service venue, you can also stay overnight at the Penthouse on the property.
