Montrose House in Sutton Forest is a romantic wedding venue available for exclusive use during your special day. It offers delicious food, an extensive range of drinks, and gorgeous facilities for the ceremony, pictures and reception. The event team at Montrose House takes care of planning details and coordinates your wedding, so you relax and enjoy every moment.
The venue is set amidst the rolling hills of Southern Highlands in Sutton Forest, New South Wales. It offers 33 acres of beautiful English gardens and a homestead, built in 1861 and renovated to become a modern wedding venue.
Montrose House has additional facilities, such as a Retreat, car park, outdoor ceremony areas, garden bar, and a reception hall.

Wedding catering at Montrose House features mouth-watering food, beautiful presentation and a wide array of plated and shared-style dishes. Experienced head chef at Montrose House focuses on fresh seasonal ingredients and nurtures a creative approach.
For example, Montrose House's wedding menu includes shared starters like fish tacos and baked brie and plated mains such as slow-cooked lamb and chilli-glazed salmon. You can choose shared mains, petit fours, and late-night snacks, such as mini burgers and mac 'n' cheese.
The sides feature salad and potato wedges. Overall, the menu shows a global influence, combining the best of Italian, French, and Asian elements, offering both communal and individual dining options.
Four-course wedding menu inclusions are:
- Your choice of alternate-serve plated meal, share platters or a combination
- 3 canapés, entrée, main & 2 petit fours
- Bridal party platter for photography
- Wedding cake serving
- Complete service staff
- Optional enhancements: gelato cart and late-night supper
The drinks selection at Montrose House is exceptional, featuring handpicked and locally sourced finest wines and craft beers, which complement the food perfectly.
Optional extras include champagne arrival, champagne tower, additional cocktail, after-dinner digestif or mixer package.
Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Montrose House
Say I do at Montrose House heritage-listed garden under a majestic tree canopy. The ceremony at Montrose House includes all furniture, including seating, an antique French door arbour, chairs, an easel, a sound system, confetti baskets, umbrellas and ceremony coordination. In case of wet weather, ceremonies happen in a carriage barn, a rustic all-season place.
After the ceremony, you can host a lovely garden party before a sophisticated reception in the Badgery Hall. It accommodates 130 seated guests and includes complete furniture, assorted décor and reception essentials.

We were looking to have a garden wedding, and when we inspected montrose we were more than satisfied with what it was able to offer us. Basically we were looking for a venue that could do it all, including an indoor/covered ceremony option that didn’t disappoint (which we ended up using due to unprecedented rain), being able to host the ceremony and reception (more easy on us and our guests)..We celebrated our wedding at Montrose in September, and it was the perfect venue for us. Beautiful wedding photography is a breeze here. From the moment we arrived the day before to familiarise ourselves with the venue the staff were warm, inviting and friendly. The lady who was coordinating was very helpful with her guidance and reassuring in the planning of the event. Being onsite all day in the lead up meant it was relaxing for the bride-to-be with somewhere to 'chill out'..I was at Montrose House for my brothers wedding this weekend past 5/3/22. Food is always 5 star, Daniela and her team are amazing and super helpful, as both a customer and a vendor.
