Weddings at Anglers Tavern

Anglers Tavern is only 30 minutes from Melbourne CBD, but it has a charming atmosphere, away from the city rush and crowd. There are several function spaces, but most wedding receptions happen at the function space at level 1. 

You get exclusive venue use with all amenities, including a private bar. The space has direct access to the courtyard, which serves as an outdoor breakout space with views of the river and plenty of photo opportunities.

The capacity for weddings at level 1 function space is the following:

• Seated reception with dance floor: 100
• Seated reception without dance floor: 144
• Cocktail reception with dance floor: 190 
• Cocktail reception without dance floor: 250

Included with your venue hire are the following:

Anglers Tavern hosts both receptions and ceremonies. The indoor ceremony happens on level one, in the bright, airy room with river views. A signing table and 40 ceremony chairs are included.

Wedding Packages at Anglers Tavern

Anglers Tavern has several wedding packages, purposely designed so that you can customise them and create a bespoke wedding experience. 

Standard inclusions in the Package 1 for the seated reception are:

• 4-hour classic beverage package
• 3 standard canapés upon arrival 
• Freshly baked bread
• Alternate serve entrée and main with complimentary sides
• Classic dessert or two roving dessert canapés
• Wedding cake plating
• Tea and coffee service

Basic Package 2 for cocktail reception features:

• 4 hour classic beverage package
• 6 essential and 2 substantial canapés per person
• Your wedding cake roaming
• Coffee and tea service

For both packages, you’ve got standard and deluxe food items, and add something extra, such as grazing tables, seafood stations or dessert tables.

Depending on your preferences, you can host a dinner or lunch wedding. The lunch wedding concludes at 5 pm while the dinner wedding ends at 10 pm. Both options can be extended for a set fee.
