Since being faithfully restored from The Old Library’s origins as one of Birmingham’s first free libraries in 1866, this historic setting has played host to many happy and unique wedding days. Wedding guests will be left mesmerised by the architecturally stunning building, which is flooded with natural daylight and exudes a romantic atmosphere.
You can rest assured that your guests will be amazed by our beautiful venue. It’s original gothic Victorian windows, soaring high beamed ceiling and four grand archways exude a romantic atmosphere that will put your guests in the perfect mood for watching your special moment. The Old Library is nestled amongst the bustling and diverse community of Digbeth, providing a variety of unique backdrops for those all-important wedding photos. This hidden gem can easily cater to a particular theme that has been envisaged for a wedding day.
Our friendly and experienced team of wedding coordinators are always on hand to answer any questions you may have. You will be invited to at least three meetings in the run up to your big day, where you will be guided step-by-step through all the timings of the event and to chat through your catering, décor, and entertainment choices. We will be on hand right through from enquiry, to your wedding, and post-wedding.

We had meetings throughout to check timings and to source and finalise suppliers, to make sure it went to plan on the day.
