How many guests can you accommodate for a wedding?

We can host weddings of all sizes, from intimate celebrations of 20 to larger gatherings of up to 200 guests for a wedding breakfast and evening reception. Our flexible function rooms can be configured to suit your numbers perfectly — whether you're planning an elegant dinner or a full celebration for the whole family. Our wedding coordinator will help you find the ideal layout.

Are you licensed to hold a civil ceremony?

Yes, The Queens Hotel & Spa is fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies, so you can say your vows, enjoy your wedding breakfast and dance the night away all under one beautiful roof. Our light-filled function spaces provide a stunning setting for your ceremony, with our gardens ideal for drinks receptions and photographs immediately afterwards.

Do you have a dedicated wedding coordinator?

Absolutely. From your very first enquiry right through to the moment you leave as a married couple, you'll be supported by a dedicated wedding coordinator. They'll guide you through every detail — room layouts, menus, timings, supplier logistics and décor — so that your day runs exactly as you've imagined it.

Can we accommodate our guests overnight at the hotel?

Yes — with 109 beautifully appointed bedrooms and suites, many of which feature balconies or sea views, your guests can stay right where the celebrations are happening. We offer room blocks for wedding parties, making it easy for everyone to extend the fun into a weekend break by the coast. Please speak to our events team when confirming your date.

What's included in your wedding packages?

Our wedding packages are designed to take the stress out of planning. They include exclusive use of your chosen function space, a dedicated wedding coordinator, a wedding breakfast with your choice of menu, a drinks package, table linen, glassware, a cake stand and knife, and evening reception hire. We'll tailor a package to suit your vision and budget — just ask for our current wedding brochure.

Can you cater for dietary requirements and allergies?

Yes, our in-house culinary team is experienced in catering for all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other allergen-related needs. We ask that you provide us with your guests' dietary details in advance so that our chefs can ensure everyone is well looked after on the day. Please let your coordinator know of any severe allergies so we can take appropriate precautions.

Can we use the hotel spa before or on our wedding day?

Yes — and we highly recommend it! Our on-site spa is the perfect place to unwind and treat yourselves ahead of the big day. Whether you'd like a pre-wedding pamper package for the bridal party, relaxation treatments for arriving guests, or a post-wedding morning of indulgence, our spa team will be happy to arrange something special. Please book treatments in advance to secure your preferred times.

What outside suppliers can we bring in, and do you have a preferred list?

We welcome your choice of florist, photographer, entertainment and other suppliers, and our wedding coordinator can provide a list of trusted professionals who know our venue well. If you'd like to bring in your own suppliers, please let us know in advance so we can coordinate timings and access on the day. All external caterers would need to be discussed with our team beforehand.

Is there parking available for wedding guests?

Yes, we have on-site parking available (subject to charges). Our hotel is also exceptionally well connected — Bournemouth train station is just a 15-minute walk away, Bournemouth Airport is approximately 11 minutes by car, and there are multiple bus stops within a short walk of the hotel. For guests travelling from further afield, we're happy to recommend local taxi companies.

How do we secure our wedding date, and what is your deposit and cancellation policy?

To confirm your date, we require a deposit at the time of booking. Full details of payment schedules, including when the balance is due and our cancellation policy, will be outlined in your wedding contract. We recommend booking as early as possible — particularly for Saturday dates and peak summer months — to avoid disappointment. Please contact our wedding team to check availability and start the conversation.
