Our cafe sparkles with character offering a charming place to celebrate your wedding. Here at The Kitchen Garden we pride ourselves on offering you a venue that is tailored around exactly what you want from your celebration. An array of brick walls & artwork create a tranquil environment for you to revel in whilst you celebrate a lifetime of happiness together as a married couple. We see our venue as something very special and we want to share it with you and your special occasion. We know you will adore it just as much as we do.
Our ethos is creating that once in lifetime event for you with your ideas and desires in mind every step of the way. Maximum capacity of 70 for a seated meal or 120 for a buffet / BBQ or Hog Roast.

We have a flat rate if you would solely like to hire our venue and choose your own caterers. This is the perfect option for cultural weddings for a maximum of 120 of guests.
Venue hire includes:
Dedicated events staff: Our dedicated team will assist you throughout your event, from planning to execution, to make it a unique and unforgettable experience.
Event stylist & bespoke menus: Our event stylist will help you design your event and make it beautiful. You can also use our amenities such as welcome signs, easel, table numbers, greenery, and cake stands.
Sound system: Elevate your event with our professional-grade PA system and high quality microphone.
Outside courtyard: Your very own secret garden decorated with rustic plants & fairy lights.
Private bar: Access to your own bar throughout the whole evening. Wide variety of quality drinks available.
Rustic furniture: Our table & chairs to use as you please, add your own decorative centrepieces.
Our prices vary depending on the day of the week, year and month you choose to get married in. For example, a Saturday in August 2026 would be just £1,550 whilst a Wednesday in April 2026 would be just £1,250 (evening hire).

Naomi and the team were so helpful and well organised they made us feel in really safe hands while we were planning. Our guests loved the rustic decor and personalised touches that we were able to add, it felt different and special. The food choices were great, nothing fussy and no one left hungry. Overall the atmosphere was so cosy, informal and intimate it was the perfect way for us to celebrate.We had a beautiful evening at Kitchen Garden Cafe. The staff are amazing, they were so friendly and welcoming. Naomi and the team were so helpful and well organised they made us feel in really safe hands while we were planning. The day was so seemless and perfect. We couldn't be more grateful for the work you all put in. I was speechless when we arrived. The kitchen garden cafe looked absolutely beautiful for our relaxed BBQ wedding reception in the afternoon and it was transformed in the evening into a dance floor for our guests to party all night long. Lots of candles and fairy lights which made this rustic venue look magical. It was such a joyful occasion and the staff at Kitchen Garden were a major part of this. Naomi and everyone were so helpful through every step. They decorated it beautifully, I couldn’t of done it better myself. We had so many compliments about the kitchen garden, the guests loved it. Naomi and Kayleigh were endlessly helpful and super fast at responding to all of our many queries on the lead-up. We even had a lot of last-minute changes, right up to the day before the reception, and they did everything they could to accomodate those and to make things easy and stress-free for us. The day went absolutely perfectly, and we felt so looked after by Kayleigh and the team on the night. Our guests can't stop talking about how lovely the staff were, how welcome they all felt and how great the food was. Kayleigh made us feel comfortable that everything was under control and let us just relax and enjoy our night knowing everything was taken care of. We wanted a laid back event and that's exactly what they delivered. The team decorated the venue even better than we imagined and we were super happy with everything. - EEmma & Scott29/08/2021A Pandemic Reception - July 2021A Pandemic Reception - July 2021If you're looking for a chilled, relaxed venue with great home cooked food, a rustic cottage garden style setting and a friendly, professional team who can't do enough to help you then look no further than the Kitchen Garden Café. Due to the Pandemic restrictions, we had to split our dates and get legally married at the Registry Office a few weeks prior. Several times we had to swap and change dates and almost every detail of the reception just a couple of weeks beforehand and Naomi the Wedding Coordinator was beyond helpful, accommodating and understanding given to the circumstances. Needless to say it all went ahead without a hitch and we had a wonderfully intimate Humanist Ceremony for 50 guests followed by a BBQ reception which received so many compliments - so much food!! The serving team were excellent and so helpful to all of our guests and they did such an amazing job decorating the room for us. A balloon shop and florist are on the same street as the Café which is so very useful for additional touches. The Café also regularly hosts live music events and so it was easy to setup both our own music and our musician for the evening. The Café really is a gem and we couldn't be happier with how everything went. Wedding planning is stressful at the best of times, nevermind during a pandemic with rules changing every 5 minutes. All of our guests were impressed with the venue and all of the staff working were super friendly and helpful. If we could have our wedding reception again we wouldn’t change a thing! Having to postpone due to COVID lockdown and last minute restricted numbers we ended up planning 3 times but Naomi took all the stress out of it. Everything we asked for she delivered and was amazing on the day. We started off in Fletchers bar for welcome drinks and then moved into Kitchen Garden for a traditional fish and chips meal and later afternoon tea. Food was amazing. There are also great photo opportunities with their twinkly lights and rustic feel. We had the most wonderful special day.
