Describe the best wedding that happened at The Cow Shed Crail?
It is a close call between my brother in law's wedding where it was great to see all the family enjoying the venue and getting to enjoy it myself, from fish and fizz in the farmhouse the night before to an impromtu conga in the courtyard just after the ceremony when the sun came out. The other very memorable wedding was in the middle of Beast from the East, the couple built snowmen under the arches in the courtyard and had the best knees up with friends who had made an incredible effort to get there. We also had to rescue the bride and groom with a tractor as they got stuck in the snow about 5 miles from the venue.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Remember it is about you, your family and friends. If you feed them, water them and play some good music it will be a great day. You don't need to spend a fortune to make sure they have a good memorable day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
I love when the place names have the couples favourite photo of the guest sitting at that place. Very personal and makes the guest feel very welcome.

Where’s the best photo spot at The Cow Shed Crail?
That really depends on the time of year. I do love it when the barley fields are due to be cut and the couple walks through the fields with sea views. Down at the harbour in Crail or on nearby Kingsbarns beach also provides great photos. The courtyard has a lovely warm coloured stone so that also makes for a great backdrop.
