Stourton Woods offers a stunning venue for a relaxed, rustic and naturally beautiful exclusive outdoor wedding.
With the option to add an additional marquee or tipi we have our own semi-permanent safari tent on a raised wooden floor which sits nestled within the woodland in the arboretum. This is fully accessible with the freedom for you to personalise the space your way! All the essentials are provided such as indoor furniture, a bespoke wooden bar, log burner, proper toilets, outside seating and fire pit to toast marshmallows!
The safari tent has wonderful views down through a tree lined view point to the idyllic deer parks and lakes.
Basic hire rates, personalised packages, camping, glamping and extras all available as well as exclusive use of the venue for 3 days. We offer the freedom to handpick your own suppliers as well as personal recommendations for other suppliers such as formal/traditional caterers and informal catering options for relaxed rustic grazing or fun festival street food.

Hire of the Venue includes:
• Exclusive use of the safari tent on your wedding day set within the woodland of the arboretum with wooden flooring throughout with stunning views down to the lakes and parkland, home to herds of Red Deer
• Private wedding venue area within the arboretum & reserved guest parking area
• Beautiful wooden trestle tables and chairs
• Fully lit and plumbed-in toilets with running water (includes disabled & baby change facility)
• A solid hand-crafted wooden bar, for Ferry Ales Brewery to serve a full bar service from all day & evening
• Rustic outdoor picnic tables & a fire-pit with benches surrounding supplied with kiln dried logs
• Festoon lighting decorating the safari tent & giant poles with festoon lighting guiding guests from the parking area to the arboretum
• Dedicated space for a catering facility with water supply close by
• Log burner within the safari tent for heating and fuel (weather dependent)
• A 30Kva three phase generator to provide power distribution within the tent (this should be adequate to supply most bands / discos and caterers)
• Access to the site from 9am the day before, for you and your suppliers to set up and decorate
• Access to the site up to 12 midday the day after the event, (or Monday for Saturday weddings) for you and your suppliers to take down
• Overnight camping available for your guests within bell tents in the grounds of the arboretum
• Car parking and overnight parking for guests until 2pm the day after
• Includes a Wedding Coordinator to fully manage the smooth running of your wedding day with a dedicated single point of contact through email, telephone and face to face appointments
We pride ourselves on building great relationships with high quality local Lincolnshire suppliers – catering, wedding dressing, florists, stationers and cake makers who we will happily share with you.

- TThe Laws03/12/2025Picture perfect 😍Picture perfect 😍After exploring the fancy hotels and quickly realising they just weren’t us, we went on the hunt for something more exclusive and chilled, where I didn’t have to worry about public eyes spotting me in my wedding dress. We came across Stourton, after never hearing about it and booked in to view. We instantly fell in love from the moment we parked the car. It was exactly what we was looking for - exclusive use, picture perfect and the ability to make it whatever our dreams desired. We put down a deposit the same day. One of our main concerns having an outdoor wedding was - RAIN. That was instantly put at ease, with numerous options to explore if it did decide to rain. Luckily for us - it didn’t and our ceremony was set outside just where we wanted. We had the amazing support off of Amy and Liz to make all my wild ideas become a reality. They really cared and listened to our story and our visions. Without them, all my ideas on paper wouldn’t have become a reality. The venue undressed was stunning, but being able to include our own touches and being able to incorporate our own personalities into the venue was BEAUTIFUL. We could choose our own suppliers, as well as choose how we wanted the day to go. All we had to do was tell Amy and she made it happen. On the day, Liz was phenomenal. She wasn’t just a day of coordinator, she was a friend, a nanny and a shoulder to cry on. She was absolutely amazing with my children and kept the day running smoothly. We changed the timing of certain things the day of the wedding, and she made it happen with no complaint. The day before, she helped us set up. No matter how stressed I was or how many tears I cried, she was always there to calm me down and offer her expertise. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without her or Amy. No matter the hiccup during the wedding planning process, Amy was always there to support us and guide us in the right direction. She went above and beyond to make contact with all our chosen suppliers and to make sure they were there when they needed to be. This was one less stress for us to worry about. We simply booked, and Amy took care of the rest. Just to make it that little bit more special, Amy and Liz reached our post wedding, to check in and make sure we were all okay. They really did feel more like friends than suppliers. From the first day of viewing to the wedding 2 and a half years later, stourton has been a dream. Our day was perfect, and we genuinely believe it wouldn’t have been half of what we expected if we went elsewhere. From the light, to the gorgeous deer, the relaxed vibes and the beautiful nature around you, it’s just everything we wanted and more. The wedding planner was a hero and made sure everyone was communicated with and plans were shared so that we didn’t have to worry about every single detail on the day. And we genuinely were not stressed in the slightest, we had the best day ever and I can’t really think or anything that didn’t go to plan, and if it did, it was handled to perfection! Our guests are still talking about how much they loved everything about the wedding, and we can’t stop thinking about it. They actually have hundreds of deer roaming the estate which is just magical. As you drive into the wedding area and the safari tent, where the dining takes place, it’s setting in the woods is astonishingly breathtaking (there’s a massive lake there too with space to camp). The safari tent is really well equipped and spacious and has those rustic vibes that everyone is looking for! Clean toilets, excellent bar, lots of seating, great staff, really well lit, and well it ticks all boxes! I can’t wait to go back there for my next wedding!
