- aadasx14/04/2023WellWellWell ? I don't even know where to begin !! My husband and I got married in Rutherglen town hall given it had been my dream and that I'm a Rutherglen lass !. The townhall dream team. (As we now call them ) transformed our wedding into a dream wedding ... the already stunning hall became a fairytale !. We had our wedding booked a year in advance and we had constant care and attention to every detail by Rebecca batchelor ! She knew exactly what to do and how to do it I instantly knew our wedding was in safe hands ! A great leader ! With a few Months to go we were transferred over to liz Stewart , which could have made us very nervous with a short time to go but wow !!! She was outstanding in every way ! Nothing was a hassle ! She was friendly , kind , smiled through every tough question , organised to the point I was embarrassed asking questions... she made our day as special as it could possibly be and the running of it on point ! From someone who themselves ( me ) organises events this absolute lady was exceptional !!! I actually miss talking to them !! This is the first time I have ever written a review but I felt I had to given the high standard and wonderful event that they ran for us ! Liz is one of the nicest but most organised people I have ever met and best of all does so calmly and with highest degree of professionalism ! She is simply excellent in every way !!!! That townhall was a fairytale when liz had finished !. Anne cruickshank was head of facility and set up - again wow !!!! This ladies professionalism through out and calmness again would put a person to shame ! Anne is such a lovely person, again like liz, nothing is a problem. She reassured us it would be amazing and boy was it !!! I couldn't believe Anne's timing , slickness , and you would never know as she smiled through out ! Liz and Anne a magnificent dream team. Anne had it all under control and in very tight time scales!!. What struck me most about this dream team was aside of them ensuring they could do no more for us in every way and highly professional was fact they took part in enjoying our day. Inbetween slick change overs on short time scales they laughed with our guests and checked we were good through out the day ! Absolutely amazing ! Just sheer excellence in every aspect ! I cannot finish this review without mentioning all the staff on the day ! What joyous people to have met on our special day ! Each and everyone setting the bar high when comes to weddings ! Happy , kind , professional staff work in the Rutherglen townhall! I cannot thank them enough for all that they did for us !!!. I chose the townhall because I loved the venue which is just simply stunning setting the old authentic against the new cool mezzo area ... but I could have been anywhere and those people would have made sure we had our fairytale !. We look forward to seeing them again and presenting them with tokens of our appreciation ... #teamprofessional / setting the standard - excellence in every way ! The main function room is a spacious hall with beautiful wooden panelling all around, a high ceiling with arched wooden beams and high stained glass windows. This creates a stunning room with a special ambience. The size of the room meant wedding guests were not crowded into the room and there was a great deal of space for guests to dance.. Adjacent to the function hall was a mezzanine floor that was the bar area. This was a modern addition to the function room that allowed guests to buy drinks and sit to take a few minutes out from the main festivities.. Unlike many wedding venues Rutherglen town hall allowed the bride and groom to add personal touches to the tables and full setup and not take solely what was provided by the venue. A separate quiet room was also provided for the wedding party to take time out from all the buzz and have personal items in the room. Indeed one of the guests used the room to get a baby to sleep.The quality of the food was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly especially as some guests including the bride and groom had food allergies.
