Situated on the edge of the historic market town of Strathaven in South Lanarkshire, our 18th century country house has undergone a major refurbishment and is a stunning location for a wedding.
Our stylish Strathaven Suite, with floor to ceiling windows (and access to the gardens) is complete with it’s own reception area and bar, offering complete privacy for you and your guests. We can accommodate up to 160 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and 200 guests for an evening reception. Or for an intimate wedding choose The Overton, accommodating up to 30 for dining. With complimentary parking, 22 bedrooms, and fantastic food, Strathaven Hotel has everything you need.
Whether you have a clear vision for your wedding or need help with planning, our team are happy to assist in any way we can. We have a selection of packages to help make planning easier. However, these are not set in stone, and special requests can be easily incorporated.

Morgan is an absolute credit to Strathaven Hotel and they are extremely lucky to have her as part of their amazing team. We instantly clicked with Morgan as soon as we met her and we knew that we were in very good hands and had nothing to worry about . Our guests have honestly raved about Morgan and all the help she gave to them on our wedding day. Everything on the day ran perfect and that was all down to Morgan and her team, nothing was too much trouble for anybody and the whole team were so friendly and approachable . The ceremony,drinks reception , dinner and reception were all seamless and we had loads of amazing comments on the quality of the food - clean plates all round which is always a good sign. Breakfast the next morning was also great - as we had booked all of the rooms the night before we had the restaurant to ourselves which was lovely so that we could mingle again with our guests and say goodbye properly before they all headed home. From the moment we went to view the hotel we where made so welcome by the staff and they continued to help throughout the wedding which had a great friendly feel . The hotel it's self was lovely rooms where great all our family enjoyed the 2 days they stayed no complaints . Also the food was excellent. Our original suspended staircase that dates back to 1797- the perfect photo opportunity!
