Situated on the edge of the historic market town of Strathaven in South Lanarkshire, our 18th century country house has undergone a major refurbishment and is a stunning location for a wedding. Our stylish Strathaven Suite, with floor to ceiling windows (and access to the gardens) is complete with it’s own reception area and bar, offering complete privacy for you and your guests. We can accommodate up to 160 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and 200 guests for an evening reception. Or for an intimate wedding choose The Overton, accommodating up to 30 for dining. With complimentary parking, 22 bedrooms, and fantastic food, Strathaven Hotel has everything you need. Whether you have a clear vision for your wedding or need help with planning, our team are happy to assist in any way we can. We have a selection of packages to help make planning easier. However, these are not set in stone, and special requests can be easily incorporated.

A large slice of wedding cake, with a Bunnahabhain 18 in the Stone Room.

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our original suspended staircase that dates back to 1797- the perfect photo opportunity!
