The Talbot Suite, on the first floor of Rufford Sawmill, provides a stylish venue for civil weddings or partnership ceremony. This listed building has a historic exterior but a fresh and contemporary interior. The Talbot Suite can comfortably seat 100 guests theatre-style or 80 guests banquet-style. With stunning views across the lake, natural surroundings and a relaxed rural atmosphere, Rufford Mill provides an enchanting backdrop to your wedding.

Simply an amazing day!Simply an amazing day!
This venue is beautiful and you have the rooms in the Mill, used throughout the day, and the outside area and lake. This gives lots of opportunities for different photos. The organisers were very helpful and made sure everything was well-organised. They went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. Carmel made sure everything went to plan; she was so easy to work with and really put us at ease. The other organisers, like Michelle, took over in the evening and were very attentive. It was truly a magical and unforgettable experience. Where do I start?!Where do I start?!
Our wedding day was an absolute dream from the first point of contact right up until the actual day itself. Séana is one of the nicest, most friendly and lovely people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with. We feel that Séana was not only our wedding co-ordinator but we have also made a friend, I will actually really miss speaking with her from week to week. The staff at The Mill were amazing, all very polite and make sure everyone is happy at every step of the day. The food was outstanding and almost every guest has told us that too, the food choices we made were perfect and everything came out bang on time. Our guests have all said that they had an amazing day which means so much to us but The Rufford Mill, the staff and Séana all played a massive part in that. I could not recommend The Rufford Mill enough, we are so so glad we chose to get married there. Such a wonderful place that we can continue to return to as the years roll by. From the first initial email enquiry to the end of our day, Rufford Mill’s team were exceptional!! Séana was fantastic! She was always there when needed and offered us the best advice to ensure we got the best of our day! All of our guests commented on how relaxed the day felt and that is definitely down to Séana and her teams professionalism. The day ran smoothly from start to finish. Nothing was too big for them! We had our wedding here on the 28.10.2023 and it was amazing, seana at Rufford the wedding co ordinator and all of the staff were great, Seana put in place everything that we wanted and was so friendly and professional. From the venue location and grounds, wonderful staff and onsite facilities (bridal suite) Rufford Mill is the perfect venue! Seana and her team paid such attention to detail to ensure our day was perfect. Great packages on off too with no hidden extras everything was clear making it much less stressful than it could have been. I could not let this opportunity pass by without comment. You and your team made us feel so welcome yesterday at Luke and Rachel's wedding and on the previous day when we came to set up. You helped to make it a very memorable, special and enjoyable occasion even though we were limited to 15 in number in these unprecedented times. Thank you so much to Joanne and the team for making our day so special ! Nothing was too much from organising a tasting at the Saville restaurant to making sure our Lab Callie was well looked after . The Venue was beautiful and everyone raved about the food ! There are very few venues that have a lake , an abbey , beautiful gardens and a blank canvas and we are so glad to have found it . We had a fantastic wedding day at the mill at Rufford. The day just flowed perfectly with no awkward gaps. The team running it were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Everybody commented how nice the food was and I would especially recommend the cake platters where there’s something for everyone.We had a fantastic wedding day at the mill at Rufford.
