- AAi & Alex01/01/2026Our dream venue!Our dream venue!We found this place on Bridebook and instantly fell in love. However, at that time we were living abroad and couldn't visit in person. The Norwood staff helped to accommodate our needs with video call viewings and answering our questions, no matter how small. The staff were incredibly supportive during the planning and especially on the day. We could enjoy our day knowing that the team was helping everything to run smoothly. The venue itself is more stunning than the pictures can do justice. We were a little worried that by September the garden might be less beautiful but we were blown away when we finally saw them in person. The interior of the house has a timeless majesty and honestly stands on its own even without decorations. The food was exquisite and the staff were very helpful in taking dietary needs, etc, into consideration. We had a very diverse guest list, and all our guests, from various countries, all loved the food! Also our accommodation was very charming and full of character. We can't recommend it enough! It’s been a week and we both can’t stop talking or looking at photos of the day. We found Norwood through one of their open days - before this we were looking at barn venues! However, when we drove up and saw the house in the distance we both had butterflies and knew this venue was for us. That feeling kept getting stronger the more we walked around and explored the grounds...I cannot recommend or thank Norwood enough for how perfect our wedding day was. It’s been a week and we both can’t stop talking or looking at photos of the day. We found Norwood through one of their open days - before this we were looking at barn venues! Travel Notes
Norwood Park is located on Halam Road, Southwell, NG25 0PB. Main Motorway access comes from Junction 28 of the M1 to the West or from the A1 to the East. Trains connected from Nottingham and Newark stop at the nearby Rolleston Station (5 miles away).
There are three entrances to the site, but the post code provided will lead you to the main entrance, where you enter via the lodges and make your way up the grand driveway until the gorgeous house comes into view as you come over the brow of the hill.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
We believe that every wedding is unique and we like to create a bespoke package for each of our couples! There have been so many remarkable weddings that we just can't choose our favourite.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Our number one wedding planning tip is to make sure you start early and are super organised. Our Wedding diary is open up to 3 years in advance as it's always good to get a head start and it is surprising how quick things get booked up!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
As each Wedding is different, it is so difficult to choose our favourite personal touch, however recently we had a music loving couple who brought along their vintage record players and a few of their favourite vinyl records to welcome their guests!

Unique, eccentric, classic, stylish and elegant!
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
There are so many beautiful places for photographs at Norwood, each of our Events Team has their own unique spot. From the Bramley Apple Orchards, the historic Temple and the 1920s inspired Bramley Bar and Arches, there are so many stunning spaces it is hard to choose just one!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We have had a few, most recently Natalie Dormer from Game of Thrones attended a Wedding in the Autumn.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Each of the Events Team has a different favourite canapé created by our highly experienced Chefs! But the most popular are the mini Yorkshire puddings with roast beef and the halloumi and sesame seed bites.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We offer a fabulous After Dark experience for Brides and Grooms with their staying guests, where they can continue their celebration into the early hours of the morning with a Magnum of Champagne, delicious vintage wines, boutique beers and a Charcuterie board to fill up on. Or if you prefer, we can create a bespoke package just for you.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
There are so many unique features of Norwood Park, from the original fireplaces to the centuries old library - there is so much to explore here at Norwood Park Country House.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The team, we work so effectively as a team and this shows in the weddings we host. We are so passionate for doing what we do to the highest possible level and having a great time makes this so much easier as our couples know they can rely on us but it also means that we can feel comforted in the fact that we have the ability to face any challenges that may arise.
