Having sat secluded from the hustle and bustle of both Nottingham and Mansfield for over three hundred years, you may be surprised to discover this rustic idyll nestling peacefully, yet conveniently, between the A60 and A614. This enchanting seventeenth century house possesses the architectural facade of a French chateau with turreted-style corners and arched windows. Quite unique, the historic exterior of Cockliffe is complimented by the decadence one finds inside, with use of rich colours, heavy curtains, antiques and the skill of a local artist. It is important to us that our guests feel the warmth and intimacy of Cockliffe and that by enjoying exclusivity of the entire hotel it might become home from home. In creating this we seek to afford you your every desire, whatever scheme, theme or dream you may have in mind. Our Wedding Co-ordinators are on hand to work closely with wedding couples and provides an excellent service, listening to our brides and grooms to bring together the dream day. We are hosting a number of Show Round Sunday events in the coming months. It’s your chance to come and view the house with it dressed as a civil ceremony & wedding breakfast and we’ll be here to show you around, answer your questions and unlike a wedding fair it will just be our team to discuss your prospective wedding, whether you’ve booked it or not! Cockliffe were the only venue who let us have the wedding day we wanted. They accommodated our requests of outside food trucks without huge minimum spends or extra fees. They let us have the added extras we wanted even though they weren't automatically on offer. The staff were so relaxed and laid back and friendly. The whole day was perfection and we really have Cockliffe's chilled attitude to thank. All our family and friends were so impressed with the customer service. So well coordinated between the venue and registrar. We did feel that it was all in hand and didn't need to worry about a thing. A very special thank you to Emilie who really understood our vision of the day. The ceremony was decorated perfectly, tables decorated beautifully to our request and the dining room layout was stunning! Food was delicious! Staff so attentive. We didn't need for anything. I cannot thank Cockliffe Country House enough for making my day the best day of my life. I have been planning this wedding for the last 2 years and Cockliffe have been on this journey with me every step of the way. For the very idea I have had they have supported and brought that vision alive. The main thing for us as a couple was to have our dogs to be a big part of the day and they went beyond in help making that possible. Cockliffe itself is a stunning venue that it maintained to a high standard & they are constantly working to improve to give their clients the perfect day. From our initial walk around we were always made to feel important & communication was always fantastic. The team at Cockliffe House were great on our wedding day, they all ensured that everything ran smoothly and that dietary needs were met. Emilie and Heather were truly amazing, such lovely ladies who immediately put me at ease on the morning of my wedding, the venue is outstanding and all of our guests commented on the food, staff and surroundings. From the start when we were showed around the potential venue these guys were amazing, never pushy, you could just tell they loved their job, were passionate about everything they do. This made for an amazing wedding for us. Always there to answer and questions, helping me with whatever I wanted. The team were amazing, made my day run perfect.
