Cockliffe Country House is a romantic 17th-century country retreat set within the peaceful Nottinghamshire countryside. With over 300 years of history, this beautifully preserved estate blends rustic charm with refined elegance, offering a truly secluded and memorable setting for your wedding day. Despite its tranquil location, the venue is easily accessible.

Recognisable by its striking French château-style façade, arched windows and turreted corners, Cockliffe Country House offers exclusive-use weddings with complete privacy. Celebrations take place in The Elliott Suite, an intimate and character-filled space ideal for ceremonies, wedding dining and evening receptions.

The venue is perfect for intimate weddings, welcoming up to 90 guests for the day and 150 for the evening. Couples can enjoy flexible wedding packages with accommodation, in-house catering and the option for external caterers allow you to create a celebration that reflects your personal style.

Overnight accommodation includes a luxurious four-poster wedding suite and 10 guest bedrooms, allowing you and your guests to relax and celebrate without rushing away.

We had an amazing Wedding at Cockliffe Country House on 4.5.25. It was absolutely perfect. Emily was so helpful prior to and on the day. The venue is beautiful, the food was amazing and surpassed our expectations. The room was beautiful and made more special to have the venue to ourselves and family could stay over. The day went seamlessly and we have such special memories of our perfect wedding day at Cockliffe. We had an amazing Wedding at Cockliffe Country House on 4.5.25. It was absolutely perfect. Emily was so helpful prior to and on the day. The venue is beautiful, the food was amazing and surpassed our expectations. The room was beautiful and made more special to have the venue to ourselves and family could stay over. The day went seamlessly and we have such special memories of our perfect wedding day at Cockliffe.

Best Day Ever!!Best Day Ever!!
Where do I even begin, Cockliffe country house was an amazing place to get married. We first went along to one of the event days, after seeing lots of other venues we knew Cockliffe was the place we wanted to get married. The staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough for us, we was invited to a menu tasting evening - the food was incredible! But the night itself was also a great way to speak to other couples, see the venue in the evening, and see some styling options and of course try the food options (it was too hard to choose) On the run up we were assigned a wedding coordinator- Emilie, who was wonderful. We had a sit down meeting in person and discussed everything and she fulfilled everything we wanted on the day. All of the serving and bar staff was professional and friendly on the day too. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, breakfast the following morning was included too for all the guests, again amazing! Only down side was that the room were very cold in the morning, (we got married in November) The venue itself is a country manor and well maintained, grounds are well kept, the bar, toilets and main room were perfect and clean to an excellent standard. But honestly the more incredible day, everything ran smoothly and again Emilie was perfect did everything I asked nothing was too much trouble, you can tell she has done so many weddings over the years and knew what she was doing I had no doubt in my mind we picked the best place for us! You were all simply amazing, so attentive and so patient with us all. There truly aren't enough words to describe how accommodating and attentive they were. From the staff ghe night before, to the morning of until we had to leave everyone was amazing. During our reception we had built up enough of a friendship we had staff with us on the dance floor and everyone partook in a massive conga line! Our wedding coordinator Joanne especially deserves a mention she was on it from items that we had forgotten to making sure everything went smoothly we honestly couldn't thank her and the team for what they did for us and how relaxed they made the whole process I dont think anyone could have done it better!There truly aren't enough words to describe how accommodating and attentive they were. Cockliffe were the only venue who let us have the wedding day we wanted. They accommodated our requests of outside food trucks without huge minimum spends or extra fees. They let us have the added extras we wanted even though they weren't automatically on offer. The staff were so relaxed and laid back and friendly. The whole day was perfection and we really have Cockliffe's chilled attitude to thank. All our family and friends were so impressed with the customer service. So well coordinated between the venue and registrar. We did feel that it was all in hand and didn't need to worry about a thing. A very special thank you to Emilie who really understood our vision of the day. The ceremony was decorated perfectly, tables decorated beautifully to our request and the dining room layout was stunning! Food was delicious! Staff so attentive. We didn't need for anything. I cannot thank Cockliffe Country House enough for making my day the best day of my life. I have been planning this wedding for the last 2 years and Cockliffe have been on this journey with me every step of the way. For the very idea I have had they have supported and brought that vision alive. The main thing for us as a couple was to have our dogs to be a big part of the day and they went beyond in help making that possible. On the day the team were amazing.I cannot thank Cockliffe Country House enough for making my day the best day of my life.
