The estate offers exceptional flexibility, allowing you to shape your celebration across a variety of stunning locations. Whether it’s the grandeur of Penicuik House or the serene beauty of the High Pond Reserve, the estate provides the perfect setting for your wedding day.
As the centrepiece of the estate, Penicuik House is eclectic, quirky and full of authentic character, filled with art and furniture collected over centuries of the family’s grand tours. This extraordinary house offers a memorable backdrop for intimate ceremonies and stylish receptions, blending timeless elegance with a distinct sense of history.
Penicuik House accommodates up to 48 guests for dining and provides luxurious accommodation for 32. Additional accommodation is available in our lovingly restored cottages, houses, and lodges, each featuring cedar hot tubs and outdoor fireside dining, bringing the sleeping capacity to 48.
Just a five-minute stroll from Penicuik House, the High Pond Reserve is a magical event space, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. Nestled beside a tranquil pond, it’s an unforgettable setting for your special day, with stunning views of Penicuik Estate and beyond. This exclusive waterside location is a blank canvas providing the freedom to tailor-make and personalise your wedding for up to 250 guests. Old Penicuik House and Eskfield provide further opportunities for open-air evening events or intimate dinners in the walled garden.

This is for Penicuik House. Exclusive use including 16 bedrooms for 2 nights (minimum two-night stay). Full breakfast is included for 32 guests each morning. All other catering is additional. There is an additional cost for the High Pond (for up to 250 guests) this will depend on duration, location and type of structure. Pricing is seasonal.

We have never stayed somewhere like this, but as we have a new puppy we wanted to stay in the UK. The house was immaculate, everything was so well thought through, I cannot fault our stay here. The grounds are beautiful, and they even left us little treats on our arrival. We really were blown away with our stay here.We have just got home to Yorkshire, from our 4 night stay at Clermount - and we didn’t want to leave! Our cottage was set in a wild flower meadow with a beautiful view over the estate. Our cottage was perfect - whoever was responsible for the renovation has great taste. The living area was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. State of the art coffee machine, green egg on the terrace sat next to the hot tub. Comfortable king sized bed and roll top bath. The staff were delightful.A beautiful estate with a choice of gorgeous cottages that have been renovated to an exceptionally high standard. A wonderful private secluded part of the estate in beautiful surroundings. Had everything you could want from the very spacious accommodation to all the additional touches provided. Phillip, the Estate Manager was very welcoming and explained where everything was and how it worked. Would have loved to have stayed longer as it was part of our Scottish road trip so was sad to leave. They’ve definitely thought of everything.Absolutely loved our stay in the Clermount on Penicuik Estate. A wonderful private secluded part of the estate in beautiful surroundings. The Estate is so peaceful and charming, not too far from Edinburgh but yet in nature with only bird songs to hear... Eskfield encompasses everything you could ask for: whether it's a private sauna, hot tub and cold plunge, a wonderful bathroom with standing bathtub in front of a window with views on nature, a very fluffy king-size bed overlooking the garden...We've had a perfect getaway staying at Eskfield. It is so rare to have this type of perfect experience, but we really did. The Estate is so peaceful and charming, not too far from Edinburgh but yet in nature with only bird songs to hear... The whole experience was fantastic: the cottage was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and the attention to details was exceptional. As we both love hiking we also really enjoyed exploring the estate and its gorgeous landscape. The house is just beautiful and exceeded all our expectations. The interior design and furnishings are absolutely stunning and the attention to detail is impeccable. The estate is equally as breathtaking with amazing walks and gorgeous views. The beds are unbelievably comfy and the bathrooms are nothing short of spectacular! We only stayed for 2 nights, but wished we stayed for longer. We felt welcomed with the snacks & card, along with the pre warmed hot tub! It truly was a special experience.Wow! I can’t believe this little slice of paradise is just outside EdinburghWe stayed at Eskfield in April 2025 for two nights. It was absolutely wonderful. Amy was fantastic at liaising before we arrived so we arrived to a fridge filled with delicious food and chilled wine. Eskfield is set in a walled garden which is ideal for dogs to run around safely.
