Each detail feels thoughtfully woven into the landscape, creating celebrations that are deeply personal and shaped by the beauty of the estate.
Just ten miles south of Edinburgh, Penicuik Estate spans 3,100 hectares of designed landscape, framed by the Pentland Hills. At the heart of the estate, Penicuik House is the centrepiece of every wedding. With sixteen bedrooms, it brings everyone together, creating a welcoming home for your celebration. Light-filled drawing rooms, the Courtyard and Rose Garden provide beautiful settings for ceremonies, receptions and outdoor gatherings. Penicuik House can host dining for up to 48 guests, with accommodation for 32. Additional houses and cottages provide retreats for a further 16 guests, bringing the total sleeping capacity to 48.
Nestled in the Sunken Garden beside Penicuik House, the Glass Orangery is a modern haven of glass, greenery and light. By day, it offers a bright, light-filled setting for ceremonies year-round. By night, it glows softly with music and candlelight. The Orangery accommodates up to 200 guests for a seated dinner, or 150 for dinner and dancing. Beyond the house, the estate opens into extraordinary outdoor settings. At the High Pond, celebrations unfold beneath sailcloth tents, softly lit as dusk settles. Old Penicuik House and Eskfield offer unforgettable spaces for open-air parties or enchanting dining in a tranquil walled garden.

This is for Penicuik House. Exclusive use including 16 bedrooms for 2 nights (minimum two-night stay). Full breakfast is included for 32 guests each morning. All other catering is additional. There is an additional cost for the High Pond (for up to 250 guests) this will depend on duration, location and type of structure. Pricing is seasonal.

We have never stayed somewhere like this, but as we have a new puppy we wanted to stay in the UK. The house was immaculate, everything was so well thought through, I cannot fault our stay here. The grounds are beautiful, and they even left us little treats on our arrival. We really were blown away with our stay here.We have just got home to Yorkshire, from our 4 night stay at Clermount - and we didn’t want to leave! Our cottage was set in a wild flower meadow with a beautiful view over the estate. Our cottage was perfect - whoever was responsible for the renovation has great taste. The living area was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. State of the art coffee machine, green egg on the terrace sat next to the hot tub. Comfortable king sized bed and roll top bath. The staff were delightful.A beautiful estate with a choice of gorgeous cottages that have been renovated to an exceptionally high standard. A wonderful private secluded part of the estate in beautiful surroundings. Had everything you could want from the very spacious accommodation to all the additional touches provided. Phillip, the Estate Manager was very welcoming and explained where everything was and how it worked. Would have loved to have stayed longer as it was part of our Scottish road trip so was sad to leave. They’ve definitely thought of everything.Absolutely loved our stay in the Clermount on Penicuik Estate. A wonderful private secluded part of the estate in beautiful surroundings. The Estate is so peaceful and charming, not too far from Edinburgh but yet in nature with only bird songs to hear... Eskfield encompasses everything you could ask for: whether it's a private sauna, hot tub and cold plunge, a wonderful bathroom with standing bathtub in front of a window with views on nature, a very fluffy king-size bed overlooking the garden...We've had a perfect getaway staying at Eskfield. It is so rare to have this type of perfect experience, but we really did. The Estate is so peaceful and charming, not too far from Edinburgh but yet in nature with only bird songs to hear... The whole experience was fantastic: the cottage was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and the attention to details was exceptional. As we both love hiking we also really enjoyed exploring the estate and its gorgeous landscape. The house is just beautiful and exceeded all our expectations. The interior design and furnishings are absolutely stunning and the attention to detail is impeccable. The estate is equally as breathtaking with amazing walks and gorgeous views. The beds are unbelievably comfy and the bathrooms are nothing short of spectacular!
