At Old Down we understand you only want to share your wedding day with those you love and we therefore give you exclusive use of the Manor for duration of your special day.
Enjoy the light, spacious, elegance of the reception rooms and orangery; relax using the indoor pool; soak up the panoramic views from every window; admire the crystal chandeliers as you travel down the sweeping Bath stone staircase and revel in the decadence of a Manor House which you own for the day.
Our dedicated chefs deliver the very best in fine dining, specialising in both modern and traditional cuisine. The team of chefs have years of experience, from melt in the mouth canapes, sumptuous wedding breakfasts and delectable evening buffets. We even provide a delicious children's menu because little people should feel special too. Please see our Exquisite Catering pages for full details of all our packages. However, should you wish to tailor a menu to suit your personal taste, our chef will more than happy to assist you.
And finally, ...... Our Wedding suite, a room for romance. Adorned with crystal chandeliers, and an eclectic mix of modern and exquisite antique furniture. A truly sublime place to watch the sun set. The perfect end to a perfect day.

The attention to detail and the customer service was exemplary. Every need was catered for and nothing was too much trouble. In particular when my son was unfortunately ill within an hour of the bride arriving …nothing was an issue and I wasn’t made to feel awkward at all. I sincerely apologise for your housekeeping having to clean up after him. The manor is out of this world location and view wise and your staff were amazing. Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The best photo spot is just outside the front door of the Manor where it overlooks the River Severn. This is the perfect place for those magical sunset photos!

Honey and Sesame Coated Cocktail Pork Sausages - these are always a crowd pleaser!

What is your venue's most unique feature?
The chandeliers! during the day the sun reflects down on them and they create stunning rainbows down in the Atrium! then in the evening they brings a warm glow to the house.
