Paintworks Event Space is a stunning blank canvas venue, perfect for creative and unique weddings, parties and celebrations. We can host marriages, civil partnerships, blessings and receptions and we fully embrace social diversity.
The scale of this industrial space, with its high ceilings, exposed brick and stonework and modern outside courtyards make a perfect backdrop for a contemporary wedding. Stylish, upbeat and effortlessly cool, the space works best for 90-200 guests and for couples who want to create a look and feel that’s true to them!
Included with the space comes, furniture, linen, set up, in-house sound system, free parking, two outdoor courtyards, on the day wedding assistant & an a wedding manager to plan and take care of all the logistics. Relish, our in house catering team can provide bespoke menus from BBQ's, curries, sharing platters, live cooking stations & buffets.

Hi I'm Eider, the Events and Wedding Manager at Paintworks. I've worked in the industry for 12 years, the last 4 helping out couples at Paintworks. I love weddings! and love how different each one can be from another! You have complete freedom to choose how you want your wedding to be, but I am full of ideas and can help you get the best of your creativity. I am also a perfectionist, I will manage all staff and suppliers to make sure your day is perfect!

From start to finish Eider and her team were so informative and attentive and went above and beyond for us and made our day our dream day. With it being a blank canvas there is SO much you can do with the space and they are so supportive in helping you make your vision come to life while also making suggestions from their experience. The day before the wedding the co ordinator (Eider) was there to help us set up and on the day itself everyone worked so hard in the background to make everything run so smoothly which we were so grateful for. The security team who were there in the evening couldn’t have done more to look after us and kept everyone safe while also being relaxed, kind and so helpful. The team at Relish who are the in house caterers were also amazing and attentive and the food was 10/10 with so many guest compliments. It’s such a central location, we had people take taxis, the train, get hotels close by and the parking was easy too for those who needed it taking some stress away from us. We have had so many compliments about the venue and people who were really suprised with just how good of a venue it was for a wedding. We are quite a laid back couple and just wanted a big party with elements of a traditional wedding and Paintworks Event Space gave us all that. There is a stunning Air BnB on the same road which we stayed in with the bridal party and had our ‘glam team’ come to which made it the perfect, convenient place to get ready. Thank you so much to the team at Paintworks, couldn’t have asked for a better day. I cannot recommend paintworks event space more highly for a wedding. Eider was just incredible with everything that she did for us making sure our wedding day would run smoothly. The space was perfect for us, it was really the perfect place for our wedding. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
They are all the best! But if I had to choose, one with a rodeo dinosaur and a pinata instead of a cake would be on my top 3, along with a viking wedding on a snowy day and a Halloween wedding full of pumpkins on the 31st of October!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Hiring good suppliers is essential, they know what they are doing and it's one of the most important days on your life!!
Also, let your loved ones help you by giving them different tasks to help run the day. You have done all the planning, now is your wedding day, enjoy it!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
I liked personalized book favours or letters wrote by the married couple to each one of their guests.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Paintworks has loads of hidden courtyards and walls of any colour to match couple outfits! From stunning industrial and modern backdrops, to American airstream vans and a beautiful yellow bridge surrounded by trees, there are plenty of spots to choose from. Make sure you book a good photographer that knows the site!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Yes, a groom, but we can't tell.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Crispy lobster lollies with sweet sriracha. Also love mezze boards as alternative to canapes or a crisp wall!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Cheese and crackers! Although our pizzas are amazing too.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Its versatility. You can transform it into anything you can imagine. This is why we offer a full set up day! The open plan layout and our flexibility with couples bringing in their preferred caterer, make it a good venue for any kind of weddings. We embrace diversity and love that not 2 of the weddings hosted at Paintworks are the same. So if you are thinking on something out of the ordinary, like having a rodeo bull at your party, this is the place.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are very passionate about our venue and we love what we do! Our wedding manager Eider, will help you with all the design and planning of your big day. There's no limit to how many times you can meet her or come to view the space! We just love to be involved in your planning process.
