Paintworks Event Space is a stunning blank canvas venue, perfect for creative and unique weddings, parties and celebrations. We can host marriages, civil partnerships, blessings and receptions and we fully embrace social diversity.
The scale of this industrial space, with its high ceilings, exposed brick and stonework and modern outside courtyards make a perfect backdrop for a contemporary wedding. Stylish, upbeat and effortlessly cool, the space works best for 90-200 guests and for couples who want to create a look and feel that’s true to them!
Included with the space comes, furniture, linen, set up, in-house sound system, free parking, two outdoor courtyards, on the day wedding assistant & an a wedding manager to plan and take care of all the logistics. Relish, our in house catering team can provide bespoke menus from BBQ's, curries, sharing platters, live cooking stations & buffets.

Hi I'm Eider, the Events and Wedding Manager at Paintworks. I've worked in the industry for 12 years, the last 4 helping out couples at Paintworks. I love weddings! and love how different each one can be from another! You have complete freedom to choose how you want your wedding to be, but I am full of ideas and can help you get the best of your creativity. I am also a perfectionist, I will manage all staff and suppliers to make sure your day is perfect!

We had access to the venue the day before and morning after to get it ready and take it down, this was so helpful and made planning so much easier. Eider was absolutely amazing and made the day, she helped along the planning process but took everything over day-off and let us enjoy without any stress. We would 100% recomend Paintworks as a venue to get married in. We had the most brilliant day at Paintworks. All of the staff were fab and really supportive. The caterers, Relish were also very professional and the food was fantastic - we had so many compliments on it. Their team on the day made sure service ran seamlessly. The venue itself is such a great and versatile space. We were lucky enough with the weather that we could make use of the courtyard too. It was not overcrowded, it was warm waiting for my bride to arrive but that may have been the nerves. We got officially married at the venue, using the Bristol Registry office, which allowed us to fully customise the service. We had great weather most of the day with the lightest of showers, which sprinkled through some of the photos, giving us a full range of amazing pictures. The food had to be provided by Relish, who put on the best food I have ever had at a wedding; it could not have been nicer. We had access to the courtyard throughout the day, which was great for garden games and for my wife to surprise me with a saxophonist and karaoke (the guests may have enjoyed my singing the least). The evening entertainment was in the same location as the ceremony, so no one had to leave all day, and the final guest count was almost 200 people in the evening. It did not feel too busy even then. I cannot recommend Paintworks enough, we wanted a secular wedding, in an alternative venue (not a barn like everyone else), which meant Paintworks was the perfect option, equivalent to getting married in your local church, Paintworks is less then 1 mile form where we live so we had the service in our hometown, at our local. We had a choice on what was served at the bar so we had local beers from the Bristol Breweries. Throughout the day the team at Paintworks were on the ball and organised everything meticulously. Our guests stayed in an array of hotels and airbnb's around the local area with no issues on access to the venue.
