Description
With exclusive hire from Friday to Sunday, Moonacre becomes totally yours to host a full weekend of celebrations! Licensed for outdoor civil ceremonies you can be married surrounded by nature and up to 250 of your friends and family.
Ceremonies can take place on our wildwood platform with natures best on offer surrounding you with trees bursting with leaves of green and seasonal flowers or inside the eagles nests, a purpose built wooden teepee making an intimate option sheltered from the English weather.
Situated on our main field is our ready to use marquee. Our marquee has a traditional look on the outside but a rustic barn interior with draped chiffon roofing providing plenty of space for feasting, lounging and dancing!
Included in all our exclusive hire options are also 6 unique and quirky pieces of accommodations. Additional to these guests can also pitch their own tents in our group camping or rent one of our glamping bell tents!
We encourage you to book our weekend hire which gives you and your guests the chance to really unwind together on the Friday night around the camp fire alight with pre wedding excitement before getting up and ready for the big day! All our hire options give you exclusive use and your time on site can be used however you wish!

- SSam and James28/05/2023A truly beautiful venue A truly beautiful venueWe had the best day at Moonacre. Such a wonderful venue set in nature with a magical vibe and unique places to stay for guests. The rain didn’t dampen our spirits (we hear it’s lucky on your wedding day!) and the team helped sort an inside plan which was so beautiful in the marquee. We enjoyed the outside space once it dried up with confetti pics in the woodland and sparklers around the fire pit. Thank you team Moonacre. We had the best day at Moonacre. Such a wonderful venue set in nature with a magical vibe and unique places to stay for guests. - CCarly & Rob18/04/2023Better then perfect Better then perfectMoonacre was the first and only venue we viewed, we loved it so much we reserved a date there and then. Booked it and waited 2 years for the big day! Throughout those 2 years communicating was great with Hayley answering any question I had no matter how silly I thought the question was! We went along to a couple of open days in those two years which helped us get a better idea of what we wanted! Highly recommend going to a Moonacre open day! As the day of our wedding was a Wednesday we had use of the site from midday Tuesday til 11am on Thursday.. this gave us and our vendors chance to set things up and pack away without any rush! The whole process was calm, which is exactly what we needed the day before our wedding. Dom & Hayley were on site throughout the 3 days and they helped so much with absolutely everything! They went above and beyond. We chose to make use of the air bnbs on site which slept some of our guests, we also gave our guests the option of camping.. which you can do here! Proper festival vibes! And they had proper showers and toilets! As for our wedding… we got married in the woodland and it was perfect! Then the majority of the rest of the day was spent in the marquee as the weather was a bit hit and miss but the marquee is huge it had a fully stocked bar, a dance floor, a stage and tonnes of room for tables and chairs to have a proper sit down meal! We chose to have a burger van for our food serving from lunch time until the late evening, they had access to electricity & everything they needed to run the van. There is also a fire pit! We didn’t use it however we did have the option to, we bought wood and everything we needed but didn’t actually get around to using it as we were having such a good time on the dance floor! Drinks at the bar were very reasonably priced and you can have some input on what is on tap if you let them know in advance. The whole day ran so smoothly, I gave Hayley a brief timeline of the day and her and Dom made sure everything went to plan. Even though we didn’t have a major plan but we wanted a relaxed day and that is exactly what we got! Everything was just perfect from booking Moonacre 2 years ago to leaving the day after the wedding.. there wasn’t a single issue! If you are considering Moonacre please go and have a look at the venue you will fall in love the second you arrive and you will absolutely not regret booking it for your wedding day. It's so peaceful and beautiful. The wedding area is so natural and nothing like I've seen before for outdoor weddings. An amazing venue if you're looking for something relaxed! We had such a nightmare with Covid and restrictions and cancellations but the team were so kind and patient. The venue is absolutely stunning. The outdoor ceremony space is beautiful and you are allowed to decorate it now you like it. It’s such a calming place and feels so special. The accommodation was a great hit with our guests and the atmosphere was so relaxed during the day. In the evening we had the most amazing reception with music, dancing and drinking and nothing was too much for the staff. We had the BEST day and it was 100% worth the wait. Dom and Rachel are amazing hosts and Hayley is an incredibly organised and comforting wedding coordinator. The space is amazing… well kept and Suitable to keep all ages entertained. Even the bar staff are super helpful and very friendly. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Moonacre is absolutely a venue I’d recommend. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and all the quirky accommodation we stayed in the shepherds Hut. Staff were lovely and the bar and marquee were perfect.
