Description
The Marine Theatre is a stunning coastal venue in Lyme Regis, Dorset and is part of a UNESCO world heritage site. The auditorium has impressive large windows, overlooking the sea, providing a beautiful backdrop for your wedding.
Built in 1894, the venue can accommodate 124 guests for a sit-down meal and 330 standing guests for your evening reception. As well as that, the theatre is licensed for ceremonies, so you can spend the whole day in one location.
The main auditorium is well equipped for weddings, with a semi-sprung floor perfect for dancing and the stage provides an area for your DJ or band. There are two dressing rooms, two bars and a pretty balcony is the perfect spot for arrival drinks, set against the famous Jurassic coastline.
The venue has a wide range of wine for you to choose from and also a choice of caterers, including their patron’s restaurant HIX Oysters & Fish House.
You will have exclusive use of the venue the day of your wedding, as well as the day before and morning after, so you will have plenty of time to set up and pack away!
As an added bonus you will also have access to all the theatre equipment, including the PA system, microphone, fairy lights and a mirror ball!
There is a wide roster of bands and DJs.

The staff were helpful and passionate about our wedding. The venue itself was clean/looked great and as a working theatre (with it's own tech guy), the lighting and audio were great. When I asked last minute if there was a projector my best man could use for his speech, they were able to meet that request. The staff on the day were great and it was a great atmosphere.
