No matter what the season Macdonald Pittodrie House Hotel is a truly wonderful Wedding Venue- from the moment you turn into our tree lined driveway you are encapsulated by the tranquil and stunning surroundings along with the views of Bennachie. The charm and character of the 27 bedroom hotel will provide the perfect setting for your special day. Our ballroom which can accommodate up to 100 day guests and 130 for an evening reception is located a the back of the hotel with floor to ceiling windows and doors leading out onto our landscaped garden. During the Summer make the most of the grounds and in the Winter months enjoy our roaring fires, twinkling tealights and jack frost sparkling in the moonlight all add to the ambience of your special day. Our Head Chef and our experienced team are passionate about the food they serve and know that when it comes to quality, it is the little details that make all the difference. That is why our chefs only use the the finest seasonal ingredients and source only the best produce available for your Wedding Breakfast. Well Worth it - would come againWell Worth it - would come again
Just stayed overnight with a mate on route further north. Real snowy scene. Building is quirky . Staff were so welcoming and warm. Had a junior suite which was cosy warm and bed was comfy, room and bathroom were large and clean. Dinner was amazing and breakfast good as well. Would come back again - staff made it though especially the night manager ( who was also their the next morning and can’t remember her name ) !Just stayed overnight with a mate on route further north. It has taken me far too long to do this review, I could never capture just how fantastic Macdonald Pittodrie House was. I still don't think these words do it the justice it deserves but hopefully provides a glimpse of how incredible it is! We had our wedding at Pittodrie House in July 2022 (originally planned for July 2020!). The staff went above and beyond, far exceeding anything I ever expected. We spent 3 nights at Pittodrie House hotel with our friends their dog and ours. We can't fault the friendliest of the staff, the fantastic food (two of our party were vegan and they had great choices from the chef). Our dogs were welcomed so much and we were made to feel relaxed at the hotel. The grounds are amazing and what makes it even better is the walk to Bennachie. We would definitely recommend a stay there. A big thank you to all the staff at Pittodrie from Jon, Mike, Alex , Kathy and MarWe spent 3 nights at Pittodrie House hotel with our friends their dog and ours. The most relaxing break I have had in a long time, with beautiful surroundings. The staff were excellent and couldn't be more attentive. Our room was perfect, very comfortable. The food was delicious and well presented. A great selection of wine too. The grounds are beautiful. Revisited where we got married in 2000. Still a lovely, hidden gem. Wonderfully comfy room with great bathroom. Dinner was incredible… top class from starter to desert with a great wine list. Our daughter and her husband had their wedding here on Sept 9th. It was the hottest day of the year and the setting was spectacular. Staff were absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Special mention to Jill who co ordinated the wedding perfectly and nothing was too much bother. The grounds are amazing which made for fabulous wedding photos and the food was amazing. My husband and I had our wedding reception here Sept 2023 and loved the experience! The grounds around Pittodrie House are beautiful, it would be difficult to find a more scenic location for a wedding anywhere else, not too far from nearest town but feels as though you are away from everything. The Hotel oozes character inside and out- a warm, homely feeling from the moment you enter right through to the ballroom and accomodation. We had a great experience on our wedding weekend. All staff really helpful and friendly. Made us feel at home, nothing was too much of a bother. We were looked after throughout the whole day to make sure our wedding went smoothly and very special. Every one enjoyed their stay and throughout the whole day all guests were well looked after. A great venue and charming hotel. A special mention to Andrew and Jill throughout the whole weekend and also for answering our many questions in the lead up We had a great experience on our wedding weekend.
