Lickleyhead Castle

Awesome castle experience! There were 4 couples staying here and we all went round and round the rooms trying to decide which was our favorite! Absolutely wonderful accommodations!

Truly a magical experience! And we may have had an encounter with the Green Lady! The rooms were all lovely and it was difficult to pick which one I wanted. We held a murder mystery event on the evening of my birthday through Red Herring Events and it was fantastic!

The castle was one of the most beautiful venues we’ve ever attended. The details, the decor, the magic, it was a very special experience for our group to stay here. The bedrooms were comfortable. Plenty of space for us to relax and enjoy. We made good use of the fireplace in the main room. The grounds were beautiful to walk around in. Easy communication with James. Managed to get food shopping delivered to us to cook in the large kitchen. We’d definitely love to come again & would recommend it..

If you want to feel like a Lord or a Lady, you'll be in the right place! The castle is beautiful: each bedroom is carefully decorated, the bathrooms are nicely appointed, the living rooms are superb and the garden is very pleasant. Feel free to book to enjoy this unique place where James will welcome you with kindness and good humor. We recommend 100%!

The place was fantastic, a proper castle!! Lots to do on the grounds for kids to play and also lots of nice nearby walks. Also nice places to visit nearby and very clean and stress free arrival and everything. All round very good stay.

A magical castle in a tranquil setting. From reading by the fire to singing around the piano, there is something for everyone here. Many rooms large and small, each with their own character. Plenty of nooks and crannies to explore inside and out. Well equipped and excellent service. If only I could live here!

We had the pleasure of being the first couple to marry at this stunning historic castle. All of our 6 guests enjoyed the whole weekend, from choosing their individual room to the quaint Chapel to the stunning gardens. Plenty of local businesses too, to help the day go with a bang. Caterers, hairdressers and make-up artist to name a few.
