A perfect blank canvas for you to create the wedding you had been dreaming of. Everything is in your control, you have the freedom to choose the theme, the suppliers and anything else you can think of. The staff at Kinkell Byre will as much assistance as you require.
The Byre is exclusive use for you from the day before the wedding to set up and decorate (except for Sundays after a Saturday wedding).
Heating, cleaning, electricity and lighting throughout the venue is all included as well as an in-house bar that comes fully stocked and staffed from before your guests arrive through until 1am
We have so many unique and amazing weddings at Kinkell Byre. What makes the Byre so amazing is that there is no two weddings that are the same, every wedding is so different because every couple can use their own creative décor ideas to dress the venue
Start with your budget - start getting quotes from different suppliers that you would like to get an overview of what you are looking at cost wise.
We would suggest looking at caterers first as they are such a big part of your day. We have a list of recommended caterers on our website to have a look at. Then start looking for others such as bands, florists, photographers etc (also lists of these can be found on our website!) we say if you will be disappointed if a certain supplier is not available on your date then book them quickly! All they need to know at this stage is venue and date.
Use us - we have worked countless weddings and events and there is no question too silly or small. We understand you might not have organised anything at this scale and we know the venue and logistics inside out, so just ask anything and we'll help as much as we can!
We love when couples provide games to keep their guests occupied, it's such a great addition!

Many years ago when we first started doing student events we had members of the royal family attend a ball.
We love a canapé here, so anything goes! Bite sized nibbles like haggis balls and are usually a good shout. We're also seeing more grazing tables from caterers now to give guests a good selection of choice during the drinks reception
Usually something easy to eat and a bit greasy works wonders for a late night snack - think chips, pizzas, bacon rolls or pies!
Our gorgeous sea view, rustic old barns filled with so much character and charm. Also space! We have lots of room here which is great for different areas and different parts of your day.
The fact we have been in the wedding and events industry for over 20 years and we still host over 90 events a year, its a great achievement from when we first started in 2003 when there were still cattle and tatties in the barn!
