The splendid Edwardian facade and grace of the hotel, together with the stunning gardens and delightful views across Bournemouth bay, provides the perfect romantic backdrop for your celebration. Hotel Miramar is licensed for marriage ceremonies in The Library, Lounge, Rose Room (outside venue overlooking Bournemouth bay) and the Garden Suite.
If you are looking for an outdoor wedding venue in Bournemouth, Hotel Miramar offers you our stunning landscaped gardens with breath taking sea views. Close to the beach where you can go alone or with friends and family for some fun wedding beach photos.
Following your ceremony Hotel Miramar has a choice of banqueting suites for your sophisticated wedding reception. Host your guests in grand style with a wedding breakfast in the Garden Suite (venue accommodates up to 80 guests for a banquet).
As one of Bournemouth’s premier wedding venues, Hotel Miramar is committed to making your day perfect. Our wedding co-ordinator Leah Sprason will be delighted to advise you in the planning of your celebration; your choice of menu, wines, seating arrangements, floral decorations and themed room dressing plus any special requirements you may have.

We never looked back at our chosen venue it was simply the best hotel in bournemouth, on the day in the sun we could have been anywhere in the world with the sea views from the front lawn! We cannot thank the wedding coordinator Leah enough for the work, support and making us feel so welcome all along! From meeting for the first time we felt part of the hotel and was welcomed every time! We met our suppliers there and they were always generous to offer a drink and table every time, having someone like Leah made the planning less stressful as she was so efficient and always replied! Went over and beyond with trying to accommodate request! Thank you so much for giving us the place to have what is such a special day xx Our wedding day was the best from start to finish! The whole team are super friendly and can't do enough for their guests. As a supplier I work at a lot of venues in Bournemouth, and I have to say this is a beautiful hotel, very clean with nice decor and has a lovely country feel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Every single detail we had asked for was there. From the second we arrived the day before (along with many family members staying at the hotel) we were all taken care of. From start to finish. The level of organisation from leah and the team was emmese! We married on the hottest day of the year (30°) and yet leah and the team all remaind as 'cool as cucumbers' flying around ensuring all our guests, 85 during the day for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, and 150 for the evening reception.. all of their needs were taken care of! From beautifully delicious food, to glasses never being empty. We can NOT recommend or give enough praise to Leah and the team at Miramar highly enough!! We get many beautiful couples that leave with a friendship or a loving memory but the most recent that stands out was when the bride booked alpacas to come to the drink reception, the guests and staff loved them, and it was a first for our hotel.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Follow your heart if it feels right then its for you. We can work on your budget together. Remember not everything is set in stone.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We have a connection with J.R.R Tolkien staying with us when he was alive, and the couple themed their cake as a stack of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit Books.

What part of your business are you most proud of?
We are a privately owned family business, so you always get the warm family feeling whilst at the hotel.
