It was the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and HRH The Princess Margaret was born here. The Queen Mother and King George VI—then the Duke and Duchess of York—spent their honeymoon at Glamis in 1923 and the summers of the interwar years with the young princesses Elizabeth and Margaret.
