If you are looking for a unique and amazing venue in which to get married, but also to spend the best weekend of your life with family and friends, look no further than Plas Dinam. Set at the foot of glorious Welsh hills with spectacular views, Plas Dinam has a warm and welcoming feel whilst being luxurious and grand enough to create that big wow factor. It will be all exclusively yours for at least 2 days. With 15 bedrooms sleeping up to 34, the Lodge, Chauffeurs loft and glamping sleeping 28 more, you can share it with family and friends. Plas Dinam is a much loved family home and has been for well over a century. It is a mansion, with big rooms and lots of space, but most importantly it has been lived in and cared for, so it feels full of warmth and comfort. We do warn you that you may well fall in love with it too and not want to leave! This is what makes Plas Dinam unique: 1. Beautiful, unusual architectural, with rich history in amazing, countryside setting of 13 acres with views of mountains and river valley. 2. Choice of licensed ceremony rooms, all stunning, light and elegant, for up to 120, or outdoor option for more. Drinks and canapes in the house or gardens with wildflower meadow. 3. Choice of reception in the house, great dining hall and dancing room for up to 60, or truly unique, historic Stables reception venue with glass roof, tiled stables, huge dancefloor and fabulous lighting for up to 180. 4. With lots of on site accommodation guests can stay and make a weekend of it. Self cater in the amazing kitchen, use the pizza oven, bbq, billiard room, table tennis room, fire pit, treasure hunt, family museum, playroom, walks over the hill, tennis court, garden games, etc. 5. Our list of tried and tested recommended suppliers means you can build your own unique wedding. We go out of our way to help you, in the lead up and over the weekend.

Here at Plas Dinam we love weddings! As we have maximum 2 weddings a week at Plas Dinam, we can concentrate on yours and make it just as you wish. Plas Dinam was my family home, so I know it well! We love seeing it full of love and happiness and buzzing with life. We have recenlty renovated the Old Stables, and this is the icing on the cake. It's a magical place to party after a ceremony in the house and drinks in the garden.

Great day but now feel disappointedGreat day but now feel disappointed
t's a very nice venue don't get me wrong and generous sized property with plenty of character, we had a great wedding there but that has been soured after discovering that the owners allow fox hunting on their land. This may not be an issue for some people but we believe it needs flagging here as we wouldn't have booked the venue had we known. Lady Eldrydd the owner, is a Hunt Master and personally is responsible for reinvigorating this hunt, the David Davies. The owners also lease land to a pheasant hunt which does seem to be contrary to their Green ethos advertised on the website which helped persuade me to book. We appreciate this may not be of importance to some but had we had this information flagged to us on here then it would totally have helped our decision on which venue to choose enormously. So, if you are an animal lover and/or an environmentalist, this is not the wedding venue for you. If you're not, then it ticks all the boxes. We can’t begin to describe how amazing Plas Dinam is! It made what is already a special day even more special. From the rustic setting for the wedding reception to the stunning views of the Welsh hills from the grounds, this venue is truly one of a kind! If you want a wedding where you can truly show your character as a couple and make it bespoke and personal to you, this is the place to be! The Plas Dinam team are so flexible, accommodating and supportive from start to finish and entertained every fun idea we had for the day from axe throwing to a New Orleans style saxophone procession. Lou (the wedding coordinator) is such a calming presence and helped made the whole experience so much fun! We stayed from Thursday evening to Sunday morning with family and friends, having open air cinema showings in the gardens, playing pool in the billiards room and using the pizza oven onsite too, all before the wedding on Saturday. Couldn't dream of a more perfect venue and team Couldn't dream of a more perfect venue and team
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plas Dinam to other couples looking for a beautiful venue that they can make their own for a whole weekend, not just their one special wedding day. Everything was even better than we'd hoped for over the weekend we got married, and many of our guests commented that they would be recommending the venue to others in the future. In summary, the grounds and surrounding area are stunning, the house offers so much for you and your guests to do with beautiful bedrooms for loads of people to stay on site, and the team are such an amazing bunch of people that really care about the couples getting married there. We got engaged in January 2020 which meant trying to find a venue during lockdown which was a scary experience, but from the hour Eldrydd spent on a video call to us showing us around, we knew Plas Dinam was perfect for us and that it was owned by some really special people who hugely care about your experience The whole planning process was very smooth with the wonderful Louise guiding us where we asked for help, making useful suggestions of how she had seen people use the space before and suggesting their top suppliers, but also being very chilled about letting us do what we wanted and use the suppliers we found ourselves. It was the perfect balance. Plas Dinam was the only venue we found that offered the full spectrum between a DIY wedding if that's what you wanted, but with options for full bar service, catering on site etc if you'd rather they took it out of your hands. We hired the house for a 4 day weekend, meaning we could host a karaoke night in the Drawing Room on the Thursday we arrived, with Tyson (one of the owners) helping us to set up and use the original bread oven for the house to make pizzas that night for around 30 of our guests that were staying. On the Friday we did our own set up of the stables for our reception the next day, and many of our guests visited local towns and went on countryside walks/swimming in the river during the day as we has spectacular weather. Our wedding was on Saturday and it all went so smoothly - Louise was there all day handling things in the background so that we didn't even notice and could really enjoy getting ready without worrying about what needed to be done. We knew we were in safe hands. We had our ceremony on the back lawn overlooking the stunning hills, following by a drinks reception in that area, before moving down to the stables for speeches, food and dancing. We had 96 at our wedding and the stables was the perfect space for us - it felt busy without having our guests crammed in and we were able to have the tables in a banquet style arrangement to encourage different groups to interact. The dancefloor was a great size for all our guests plus a live band. We were so lucky to then be able to host a second event on the Sunday and have many of our guests return for a sports day on the front lawn. It was great to be able to use a different area of the grounds to make the days feel different with the backdrop of the beautiful house, and we hired in BBQ and ice cream caterers who set up in front of the house to feed everyone. That night, after only our guests staying in the house were left, two of friends hosted a quiz in the Great Hall which was an amazing end to the whole weekend. One of the magical things about Plas Dinam was being able to have so many of our guests stay on site and to have people come back on the Sunday as well. It meant we really got to spend time with everyone we invited. We filled the house with our closest family and bridal party, and had other close friends staying in the tents on site too. This meant we could have more time with everyone, as it really does go in a flash! Every room in the house is beautiful and there are plenty of bathrooms for everyone to share, plus a games room, ping pong table, billiards room, all of which we used at some point or other during the weekend. We wanted our wedding to feel like a proper holiday for our guests (with a wedding thrown in the middle) and were so pleased that many people commented what an amazing break it was. In fact, some of our guests are even now looking to host events of their own at Plas Dinam. I've already mentioned the team at Plas Dinam above, but have to give another shout out to Louise, Eldrydd and Tyson (and everyone else behind the scenes that we didn't meet!) - they are amazing at what they do - the perfect level of helpful but without being too strict on what you can do with the house while you're there. We have a few friends who have had similar weddings over a long weekend, and they were all astounded at the amazing attitude of the team which allowed us to have the wedding we'd dreamed of. We got married at Plas Dinam this September and just wow, it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. It was the perfect venue and without a doubt the best weekend of our lives. All of our guests were blown away by the house, the beautiful gardens and the surrounding scenery. Being able to have so many of our guests stay with us on site was so special and meant we were really able to cherish every second of the weekend. The Plas Dinam owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. Lou was particularly brilliant on the wedding day, making sure everything ran smoothly so all we had to focus on was enjoying ourselves. We absolutely loved the beautiful stables and being able to add so many of our own personal touches. The atmosphere in the evening really was magical. We could not recommend this venue more highly, we have certainly made memories to last a lifetime. Picturesque venue with Stunning team to matchPicturesque venue with Stunning team to match
Janna and I booked out Plas Dinam for the bank holiday weekend in August and we couldn’t be happier with how our weekend was managed. Everything from the support we had in the months leading up to the event, to the service we experienced from the team from our arrival to our departure was exceptional. They simply did not miss a beat when following our requests for set up of the reception venue, arrangements with external suppliers and our programme for the day. The picturesque house and grounds are kept in amazing condition and were provided fully equipped for us to manage our own self catering arrangements for the weekend. We opted for use of the Pizza oven on Friday night with Tyson (who was always available when needed) giving us a quick run down of how to use it. We managed to serve all of our guests on-site in no time at all and was so much fun - highly recommend this. The stables where our reception was held is brilliant both from of a functional stand point and looks stunning too! It easily accommodated our circa 120 guests with space for lounge furniture, cake table, gift table etc and even had some spare rooms on the side. One of the greatest aspects of this venue is that the place is essentially yours for the weekend so you can reasonably customise your whole event and make it completely your own. Katie, Louise and Eldrydd were obviously of great support prior to the wedding but what really surprised Janna and I is how far the team went to ensure that everything was perfect. We ran out of decorative material for our table runners on Friday whilst we were setting the reception venue, Katie noticing this, went out to Newtown of her own accord to go and find some more for us and brought it back the same evening for us to finish setting the stables. This gesture simply speaks volumes about the kind of service that we experienced and we both are ecstatic with how the weekend went. Can we move in please?Can we move in please?
We had the most amazing time at Plas Dinam for our wedding! What an absolutely gorgeous place. The house is perfect and we loved exploring the grounds. The stables is such a special venue for a wedding reception - we could not have asked for a more beautiful venue! And the views for the ceremony were just perfect! Lou and the team are so welcoming and friendly! They made the whole process so easy and stress free both before our wedding and during the weekend. Having 3 days there was perfect but we wished we’d stayed longer because it was so so nice! We didn’t want to leave!! We had the most amazing time at Plas Dinam for our wedding! What an absolutely gorgeous place. The house is perfect and we loved exploring the grounds. The stables is such a special venue for a wedding reception - we could not have asked for a more beautiful venue! And the views for the ceremony were just perfect! Lou and the team are so welcoming and friendly! They made the whole process so easy and stress free both before our wedding and during the weekend. If you are looking for a magical wedding venue with amazing scenery, beautifully kept grounds, accommodation for all of your friends and family, the perfect party space and the most helpful team then please look no further – Plas Dinam literally has it ALL! When we got engaged we were looking for a venue with relaxed vibes that we could put our own stamp on and came across a picture of the incredible glass-roofed stables at Plas Dinam which immediately caught our eye. Following a little further investigation we discovered that there was so much more on offer – an incredible 19th century house, glamping for your guests, the option to have the entire place to yourselves for as many nights as you like, wildflower meadow, lakes, tennis courts... We could go on and on. As soon as we spoke with Eldrydd we knew it was the venue for us as she was immediately so open and accommodating when we launched into our ideas of celebrating across four days with additional events around our main wedding day. Nothing was too difficult. When the weekend finally arrived (after a covid-related year-change) it was everything we had dreamed of and more. Eldrydd, Tyson, Katie and Louise were so incredibly helpful across our time there – an absolute dream team and always on hand if we needed anything. Not to mention the amazing bar staff (shout out to Shona), groundsmen and all of the team who made the house look so pristine before and after our time there. So many of our guests said it was one of the most spectacular venues they had been to and I have to say dancing on the lawn to a silent disco at sunset with the rolling hills as a backdrop will forever be a hard moment to top!! We are SO glad we booked Plas Dinam as our wedding venue and look forward to revisiting for a reunion in the years to come! An amazing venue with staff that easily matched. We planned our wedding from New Zealand for 09/21; however due to COVID things got delayed. Eldrydd kindly showed us round the venue via zoom and we were able to change our dates for the following year without any issue. The help from Lou leading up to the big day as well as on the day itself was more than we could have hoped for and allowed us to enjoy the day without having to worry about the details. She also helped us think and organize things we hadn’t originally thought of, the best wedding coordinator we could have asked for. In terms of the venue itself, there were so many options for the ceremony, and we originally planned to have our wedding on the picturesque back lawn however our plans were thwarted by the rain! Thankfully during the summertime, they have a large stretch tent permanently up, so we were able to have the outdoor wedding we always wanted and because of the amazing house, drinks and canapés were seamlessly moved inside by the staff then outside when the weather finally cleared up. The stables were in themselves spectacular but also very easy to decorate and put our own personal touches to make it match our wedding themes. Choosing to spend extra days in the house itself was the best decision we made, all the rooms were beautifully furnished and clean and even came with bathrobes! We only wish we would have been able to stay longer to fully enjoy it all. Accommodation for guests was also readily available via the glamping tents, we only wish ore had used them. This really is the ideal wedding venue. We rented the whole house from Wednesday to Sunday, which was the perfect way to extend the celebrations. Our guests filled every bedroom and raved about their stay. Each room has its own look and feel, and the views of the grounds are breathtaking. We also rented out the lodge and glamping tents, which were amazing and meant that we could have lots of our family and friends on site with us, too. The entire team at Plas Dinam were incredibly helpful from start to finish and made the entire planning process stress-free. The house is filled with everything you could possibly need for your stay - including a pizza oven! The stables, where we had our reception, is a blank canvas, so you can be as creative with the space as you like, which we loved. The location is stunning, with beautiful walks nearby. Plas Dinam was the perfect wedding venue. We rented the whole house from Friday to Sunday and filled the bedrooms with guests which made for a great extended weekend of celebrations. Katie and Eldrydd really helped us make the place feel like our own and we felt so relaxed and comfortable whilst planning and during the weekend itself. They were also on hand and happy to help with anything we needed. When looking at other venues we found it was rare to truly have such a beautiful venue and then be able to build your own unique wedding day from scratch with as much or as little guidance as wanted or needed.
