Deans Court

Description

Deans Court is set in romantic, semi-wild gardens. The Wedding marquee lies next to an ancient lake, where monks used to fish 1,000 years ago. Today, the venue retains a dreamy, rural atmosphere – but only a stone’s throw from the centre of the pretty Dorset market Town of Wimborne, with its famous Minster. The venue fee is virtually all-inclusive, and covers everything you need to hold a Country Wedding in a marquee, apart from the food and drink. One of our main strengths lies in the fact that we can organise everything for you and we can offer on-site accommodation for the Wedding party (up to 12 people in our Cottages, and further 16 in our Gate House). Deans Court is a private family home, so you can rest assured that the venue is yours exclusively for your day. Every wedding here is unique because it is designed by the Bride & Groom, with the help of our events team.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

The best weddings are always the ones with the nicest couples ... they always have the nicest friends & family !

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Planning will take up as much time and energy as you let it - if you enjoy planning that's great ... but if not, don't let it take over, it doesn't need to.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Every guests' place name was a picture of that guest as a child, with a personal note on the back.

Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.

Exclusive, personal, somewhat rustic, a little bit wild, and very customisable

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

We have a big pond which makes a great backdrop - but there is also a beautiful herb garden, and walled garden ... well there are lot's actually - a photographer's dream...

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

Not that we can name (!)

What’s your favourite canapé?

One chef made these mushroom 'shots' which I loved - but the Sausage & Mash is a staff favourite - and the mini Beef and Yorkshire Puddings.

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Chicken Shawarma Wraps - unexpected at a wedding, but exactly what you need !

What is your venue's most unique feature?

I think that's our marquee garden - it's right next to our ancient pond - giving the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor space.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Probably our wait/bar staff - we always get such great comments from brides, grooms and guests about them - we couldn't be more proud !!
