Borough Arms Hotel

We had a Christmas meal for 40 at the Borough. This venue was our choice for the 3rd year running. The staff are very welcoming and the food and service was faultless. I highly recommend this place for either cosy meals out or bigger events. Fabulous!

We went for a triple celebration, my wifes birthday, her retirement & our 39th Wedding Anniversary. We had a party of 16 for a meal which was absolutely amazing & everyone enjoyed & the room we stayed in overnight was gorgeous, great night and one which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. From booking in February to the night itself everything was great, thanks to everyone at the Borough Arms for making it so special.

Stayed here for two nights to attend a friend's wedding. Location was perfect. The room comfortable and clean. The breakfast was actually superb. A special mention must go to the staff from reception to the bar staff and the breakfast time waitress. All were so friendly. We have already said we'll go back to the hotel when visiting the area to see old friends or attend functions.

We recently celebrated our Golden Wedding in The Ostler restaurant with family and friends.We really enjoyed it and all of our guests said what a wonderful time they had.The quality of the food and drinks were excellent and the staff were outstanding.Well done Mr Sheikh and staff.

We had our wedding reception here on 31/08/24 and had the most perfect day. A big part of this was down to the staff at the hotel, in particular Jennifer our wedding coordinator. She listened to all our requests and everything on the day was just as we imagined it. All of our guests to both the day and the night reception commented on how beautiful the food was and how helpful all the staff were. We can't thank Mr. Sheik and his staff enough.

Had our wedding here on 12th aug. After 4 attempts to get married we changed at last minute to The Borough Arms and we are over the moon that we did. Excellent service. Friendly helpful staff. Nothing was ever to much trouble. Food fantastic and communication was prompt when we booked. Overall experience was above and beyond. Thanks to everyone involved in our special day. We were married at the hotel, following this we had our reception there. We were assisted in the plans for this by the hotel's weddings organiser. From the outset the hotels owner/manager - Mr Sheikh and staff were nothing short of outstanding. Every aspect of our special day was made as good as it could possibly be. I can not fault this hotel in anyway, the staff were great the food was lovely, we had our wedding here and everything ran very smoothly they looked after us in every way and massive thank you to Jenifer who helped plan everything from start to finish.

We had a wedding breakfast and everything was done beautifully and the staff were lovely all through . The food was excellent and all of the guests were happy with their choice of meals. We would certainly recommend this venue for any kind of function.

We had our wedding reception here on 9th September - the hottest day of the year. EVERYTHING was fantastic. We are way beyond pleased we chose to have our wedding reception here. The wedding package was exceptionally good value. The room was beautifully decorated and set up. The wedding breakfast was fabulous and the evening buffet was more than plentiful - guests are still talking about the cheese and bacon oatcakes! The staff are an amazing asset to the hotel. They truly go above and beyond.
