- Our Tudor barn and farm cottages have been artfully restored and renovated to create a unique venue for wedding.
- We've poured our hearts into the restoration, creating a barn venue that’s both comfortable and luxurious for you and your loved ones to celebrate your happiest of occasions.
- This is a place of contrasts, it’s a blend of ancient and modern, traditional and quirky, rustic and contemporary.
- At Barns & Yard, we've created a space that offers all the comforts of a contemporary venue fused with the history and romance of ancient barns.
- We want you to feel right at home here, so our barns and cottages are available for three-day exclusive private hire, allowing you to settle in and feel relaxed and ready to celebrate the way you deserve to.
- We are fully licensed for civil ceremonies, with many lovely spaces available for you to choose from. Inside, there’s the majestic oak Threshing Barn or the Cartshed, both of which can seat 100 guests. Outside, there are any number of stunning spots, choose from; the shores of the lake, the woodland glade or our landscaped Courtyard, all of which make for the most magical of settings.

The cottages were an amazing luxury and being able to stay the night before really helped calm my nerves and make the set-up relaxing! Throughout the planning process Lisi and Kate were so thoughtful and helpful and kept us up to date with what we needed to be doing. There were lovely chances to view the venue at our food tasting and open days. The gardens and lake are stunning and we have so many beautiful photos. The day ran so smoothly and thank you for taking control of the timings and where we needed to be! It was the only venue that we actually visited and knew from the start that it would be perfect. Lisi, Kate and the team were professional, genuinely interested in making our day perfect and most importantly.. fun! - at no point did we find the wedding planning stressful thanks to them and wish we could do it all again. Everything at the venue has been thought of, including the onsite accommodation - both my hair dresser and make up artist had never been to the venue before and described it as a 'hidden gem'. We loved having access to the venue the day before to set up which allowed us to arrange our own flower table decorations, also the chocolate cake was incredible! By having the Friday afternoon and Sunday morning at the venue it stretched the wedding celebrations over the weekend. We trusted that the recommended supplier's list would be up to the venue's high standards and many guests have commented that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. The morning of the wedding was honestly so lovely, with Kate and Lisi popping in to wish us a happy wedding day and coordinate any last minute requests. The day itself went off without a hitch (even with a little rain showing an appearance first thing). Almost every guest commented on what a fantastic venue Barns & Yard is. There were places for everyone - whether they wanted to relax and chat with a cool beverage or dance the night away in The Threshing Barn. Hard to think of just one feature, however finding meticulously restored Tudor Barns beside a private lake, plus an island and bridge, is fairly unique!
