From the first meeting at the wedding fayre, we had a good feeling about Balbirnie, from the professional and welcoming service we received on that day (and the emotional tears I had viewing the Ballroom for the first time), we knew we had chose the right venue. I am so glad we did. They were so easy to want contact during the whole process, no questions felt silly to ask! Leah and Shannon answered alot of our questions throughout! (we were also offered another meeting at the point we had lots of questions). Our wedding planner Shannon was fab from start to finish, ensuring our vision of our day came to life beautifully. David, our Master of ceremonies was fabulous on the day, making sure everything run so smoothly. Going above and beyond during our wedding photos! Manager Angela was amazing, ensuring we were happy with everything afterwards, which was lovely. Overall, our stay way lovely, venue was beautifully decorated, especially during christmas made the day even more magical. Guests were impressed with how organised everything was on the day, the delicious food and how beautiful it was. The midweek package was also great value Thank you for going above and beyond there is a reason why Balbirnie have won awards. Highly recommend

We got married here two weeks ago and we can't recommend Gaynor and her wedding team enough. When we came to view the venue they made us feel so special and had so much attention to detail from the start. We had viewed a few venues in and around Edinburgh and this was by far the best of the best. Communication throughout the whole wedding planning process was just brilliant. Gaynor, Leah, Katy and Shannon always replied promptly and went above and beyond. Even when we had issues with our welcome signs on short notice they sorted this out for us. On the actual wedding day everything went better than we expected. It was perfect from start to finish. All our guests said the same thing and still two weeks later contact us to say how amazing it was. David the MC had everything under control on the day and was super helpful. Our experience from start to finish could not have been better than it was, every staff member we talked to was polite and helpful and made our day so special. We definitely made the right choice booking Balbirnie and we can't recommend it enough. We stayed for 2 nights and dined in the restaurant as well the night before the wedding and the rooms are super spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant is excellent and delicious. Our friend that's gluten intolerant said she has never had better food or bread anywhere else before. They were so accommodating to our guests and us. Also want to mention the girl that worked on check out at Reception on 14th October, she was so kind and nice - Sorry did not get her name. Thank you so much again Gaynor and her whole team (front and back of house)!

We honestly can’t recommend Balbirnie enough – it truly is the BEST wedding venue ever! From the moment we first visited, through all the planning, and right up to the big day itself, everything was absolutely perfect. The team at Balbirnie went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. A special thanks goes to Leah and Angela, who were nothing short of amazing! They ensured the entire day flowed seamlessly, and when our flowers didn’t arrive on time, they went out of their way to keep me calm. They even created beautiful bouquets for me and my bridesmaid using flowers from the Balbirnie gardens, which was one of the kindest, most thoughtful gestures. Those little details meant the world to us. Throughout the day, all we heard from our guests was how incredible the staff were and how delicious the food was. If you're dreaming of a perfect wedding, I couldn’t imagine a more magical place than Balbirnie!

On behalf of my husband and I, we wanted to say a massive thank you to all Balbirnie staff. Our day was made so perfect because of a wonderful team, a stunning venue and everything flowed so well! There was always someone to answer my questions over email and we had a few video calls to discuss plans. I reside in England so I was doing my planning at distance and it was so much easier than I imagined! The food was just delicious and I had great feedback from my guests. The house itself is pristine with friendly staff who had the house decorated as per all instructions and moved things around during the day depending where guests were. But most important i think the thing we loved most was how Angela prioritised time for just Tony and I, helping us sneak in little moments alone. The day rushes by and it’s surprising how often you’re so busy! Angela really helped us to relax, take a breather and enjoy time as a very newly married couple and I will always appreciate this. Special thanks to Leah for being our coordinator too - she is super smiley and friendly and so professional. And I would say that Balbirnie is also great value for money too :) My bridesmaids and I also loved how big the pearl suite was - it was perfect and gave us plenty of space for getting ready (I had three bridesmaids and my mum and we didn’t feel on top of each other!) And don’t worry if the Scottish weather takes over - Balbirnie has plenty of rooms and spaces for gorgeous photos!

We had the perfect wedding day at Balbirnie. Communication throughout the planning process was exceptional. We phoned and emailed regularly with small questions and every time, we were replied to by the following morning. We also requested additional meetings to check we were on track and this was no problem at all to arrange. Value for money is good, Food exceptional and Staff really went above and beyond to give us the perfect day. They have a brilliant team who set everything up for us and we didn't have to lift a finger. The staff planned short breaks for us throughout the day which were perfectly timed allowing us to enjoy quiet moments together. Even packing up the following morning was effortless as they brought everything together and offered assistance to pack the cars. Every single staff member was professional and friendly throughout the entire process.

Balbirnie House Hotel was the perfect wedding venue! The team were fantastic. They were prepared for every question and scenario, and nothing was too big an ask. The team handled everything, making it the most relaxing and fun day for us! Would 100% recommend.

We got married at Balbirnie at the end of September and cannot recommend it highly enough. The venue itself is beautiful and we were so well looked after by the wedding team at all times including in the initial planning stages, immediate run up and on the day itself. The team were highly responsive and well organised throughout. Although the venue hosts weddings regularly, we did not feel that we were required to follow a fixed format and the team went out of their way to accommodate requests to do things differently making us feel that our wedding was individual to us. The team on the day (led by our wonderful MC David) exceeded all expectations - they were amazingly organised, accommodating, hard working and just generally good people to have around on your wedding day. Various guests commented on how well organised the wedding day was. David really took control on the day and made us feel like we could relax and enjoy the day knowing everything was in safe hands. We also cannot thank Katy enough for her help throughout the wedding planning process - her attention to detail and dedication to making our day exactly how we wanted it made the planning process so much easier than it might otherwise have been. The food was also wonderful on the day - we received lots of positive feedback from guests and were very grateful to the kitchen staff for listening to our feedback from our menu tasting and incorporating that into the dishes that were served on the day. Thank you so much to the entire team at Balbirnie for giving us the best wedding day we could ever have imagined!

The time we spent with you this week has been absolutely phenomenal, from the pre wedding dinner the night before right through to check out the day after the wedding. A special thanks to Gaynor, Angela and Taylor - you went above and beyond for us and really felt like guardian angels the past few days! Everything ran so smoothly and all of our guests who have stayed with you for days on end have expressed how much they have enjoyed themselves, how gorgeous the venue is and how fantastic every single staff member has been. We fell in love with Balbirnie House from the second we walked in. Since that moment, the team could not have been more helpful. From planning our wedding, to ensuring our day was just as we had dreamed, the entire team were fantastic. We certainly understand why they have won so many awards and are the stand-out wedding venue in Scotland. A very special thank you to our wonderful wedding planner Christine, from organising the big things such as rooms for our guests to stay, to the little things such as fixing my veil just before I walked down the aisle, she was amazing. We also have to highlight that our master of ceremonies David, was an absolute dream. Our day would not have been as special as it was without his expertise and attention to detail.
