FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

It has to be the wedding for The Thunder in The Glens - Harley Davidson. Paul and Shelley were so patient on the day and full of fun throughout. A truly magical couple who will always be considered great friends

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Bespoke, challenged, focused, happy and fun

What about your business are you most proud of?

That I have the honour to be part of a couples special day and that I have the pleasure of capturing those treasured images

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

It is your special day - make sure you do it your way

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

The couple letting off white balloons into the sky and watching how they soar high.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I prefer to have a pre- wedding consultation to go over the details, a visit to the venue and couples choice of sites for formal images. On the day I arrive well in advance of the start time and stay until the agreed time. Dependant on requirements I can be available to be booked the day before or after to capture further images related to the special day.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

An image signifying the journey ahead

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

Standing on top of hay bales - the tractor had to lift the couple up onto the bales

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Two white brollies which I have at hand at all times.

Describe how you got into photography.

I spent years walking my dog in the Cairngorm Mountains with a little Nikon Photopix. One day in my work as a trainer for HSBC a colleague expressed their belief in me and from there I studied my Degree in Commercial Photography. I have never looked back and enjoyed every single moment.
