Rivers Edge Resort is a rustic Manitoba wedding venue, located over half an hour from Winnipeg in a small, rural community of Elma. The venue specializes in weekend weddings.

Ceremony Locations at Rivers Edge Resort

Rivers Edge Resort offers several gorgeous ceremony sites on its lovely grounds:

• Floating dock
• Private garden

In case of rain, the ceremony moves inside.

Included with the ceremony are basic décor and equipment, such as:

• Birch arch with greenery and flowers
• Whiskey barrels
• A signing table and a pen

Receptions and Stay at Rivers Edge Resort

A shining star of the five acres of Rivers Edge Resort is the timber-frame reception pavilion. It accommodates 233 guests comfortably. The pavilion includes walls with screens and shutters for the wet weather. 

Reception inclusions are:

• Reception setup and take-down
• Month of wedding coordination
• Four seating charts for the pavilion
• DJ service for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception
• Bartending service
• Photo booth
• Golf cart for transportation
• Basic décor: drapery, lighting, runners, lanterns, votives, rose bowl vases, glass globes, cake domes

Along the river, you can find two luxury cabins:

• Eagles Nest: Bridal suite with hair and make-up application, two bedrooms and capacity of guests; the cabin is fully equipped with bathrooms, living area, BBQ, sun room and kitchen
• Robins Perch: Classic cabin at the riverfront, that accommodates 4 guests; the cabin has a kitchen, dining and living area, luxury Jacuzzi tub for two and other amenities for a comfortable stay

Extras at Rivers Edge Resort

The venue has two options for bar service: 

• Standard Bar Service: Includes glassware (wine, water glasses, water pitchers, etc.), bussing, assorted soft drinks, water, ice, mixers and garnishes; late-night coffee and tea station
• Full Service: Includes glassware, dinnerware, silverware, bussing, assorted soft drinks, water, ice, late-night coffee and tea station, choice of linens

The venue recommends local amenities for purchasing alcohol and liquor permits. 

In addition to cabins, some of your guests can stay in RV and tent camps on the estate, offering electrical and basic spots and multiple tent sites.

The venue doesn’t provide full catering, so you’ll have to hire a local catering company that offers a wedding brunch package. It consists of seasonal fruits, veggies, crackers, cheese and other items for light snacking.
