Langtry Walk

Langtry Walk in Saanichton, Vancouver Island's Saanich peninsula features refurbished heritage structures, manicured lawns, car parking and several wedding spaces, indoors and outdoors, for memorable ceremonies, relaxed cocktail hours, and entertaining receptions.

Langtry Walk Facilities

Wedding ceremonies are typically held on the lawn in front of the property called Meadow. The venue provides up to 60 chairs for your guests to sit, and there is additional space for standing; you provide the wedding arbour, flowers, and other decorations. 

After the ceremony, you are welcome to explore the venue's lovely grounds for wedding images while your guests enjoy cocktails. Casual cocktail hours are often hosted at the Trestle, an outdoor, covered area decorated with string lights. The Trestle is also suitable for intimate wedding ceremonies.

Receptions are organized in two interconnecting rooms, the Harvest Room and the Grant Hall. 

Harvest Room hosts 60 people for a sit-down reception. The combined rooms are suitable for 80 seated guests or 120 people for a cocktail-style wedding.

Additional spaces at Langtry are: 

• The Den & Parlour: Two private spaces for preparation, breakouts, or children's entertainment during the event. 
• The Upper Mezzanine: A private space connected to the Parlour for 16 people. T
• The Wood Shed: A covered area ideal for a first dance, a wet-weather alternative for an outdoor wedding ceremony, or photo shoots.

Weddings at Langtry Walk

Langtry Walk doesn't provide food or bar service, but it has a list of pre-approved caterers. You need to bring your own alcohol and obtain a Special Event Permit. Your bartending staff must hold valid certifications for alcohol serving. 

Also, the venue doesn't have a sound system, so if you plan live entertainment and a vivid party, you can rent the equipment from local vendors.

To ensure seamless organization, the venue assigns a private wedding coordinator for organization processes oversight and coordination of your wedding vendors.

The team completes the ceremony and reception area set-up with the existing furniture.

Cross-back chairs, white ceremony chairs, wine glasses, place settings, LED candles, and decorative platters are also available for rent.

Pre and Post-Wedding Functions at Langtry Walk

Langtry Walk offers convenient weekend packages. For example, you can host a rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding with the following inclusions: 

• Early venue access from 10 am
• Dinner set-up with tables and chairs
• The ability to start decorating for the wedding day
• Early vendor access for deliveries

Langtry Walk can be a suitable place to host a recovery brunch the day after the wedding to gather your closest friends and family and summarise your impressions.
