This award-winning wedding venue in Tanilba Bay has been lovingly refurbished to provide a rustic and authentic old charm.
The total capacity at Tanilba House is 90 guests, and each wedding package includes a long list of inclusions to make your wedding day as stress free as possible. There is no need to leave the property as there are a selection of ceremony, reception and photo opportunities all onsite.
This historic, convict built, home includes thousands of fairy lights and serene magical night time garden lighting, various grand stone pillars and temples, a selection of rustic dance floors, props and bars, a completely unique banqueting arbour and limitless photography opportunities. It truly is a one of a kind venue. It is frequently described by our guests and couples as "like a fairy tale".
Tanilba offers a range of amazing value packages, from small intimate elopements and ceremonies, all the way through to fully catered feasting style banquet style weddings. Our fully inclusive packages are fantastic value. To make your wedding as stress free as possible, we include all the main elements in our packages, such as a celebrant, catering, furniture, cutlery, crockery, styling options, speakers, drinks packages, cocktail slushies, set up and pack down, and much more. We can also add a bridal suite, accommodation on site , a giant LOVE sign, drinks packages, slushie cocktail machines, chandeliers etc for an extra charge.
As we strive to conserve and protect our beautiful state heritage listed grand lady, we only host 25 weddings per year. This low number allows us to offer our full attention to every couple to ensure they get their dream wedding day, which is personalised just for them.

We love holding weddings at our beautiful, unique property & are absolutely honoured to be part of our couples big day.
We have held weddings here for over 6 years now. We love getting to know all our couples as they plan their wedding. Its so satisfying to see them celebrate their love with their friends & family, then leave completely on cloud nine at the end of their day. Bliss!

The owners are phenomenal and were helpful the whole process of organising our wedding. Tanilba house has such a beautiful fairy garden, cosy, whimsical vibe and was absolutely perfect for our wedding of 70 people. Being just a walk away from sunset beach for some stunning photos is also a bonus. I would not have wanted to get married anywhere elseI cannot recommend Tanilba House enough, it is the most magical wedding venue! We were married in the Fig Tree Cathedral and it was truly magical. Due to the heritage nature of the property, it naturally lends itself to an adults-only wedding. Dee and Glenn were wonderful to work with – incredibly attentive, accommodating, and genuinely happy to help with anything we needed. How late can you have music?
Loud music has to be turned off or down at 10pm. Exit is by 10.30pm
What kind of music can you have?
We can have most music including live music, however we are unable to have live drums and heavy base as it is too hard to manage the volume.
Can you BYO drinks?
Yes, we are a fully licensed venue but you can do this. You will need to hire the bar, and our RSA staff for the night. We allow spirits if in pre mixed cans. We have a slushie machine that is perfect for cocktails as well.
Will we have exclusive access?
Yes
Your main packages have a celebrant included, what if we want to bring our own?
You can certainly do that. We just take $500 off the package price.
