The heart of the property is the spectacular Barunah Plains bluestone homestead and gardens built in 1866. The beautifully manicured gardens offer many options for your ceremony and drinks.
The Barunah Plains Woolshed is a picture-perfect space for your wedding reception. Or if a marquee wedding is more your thing, there are many locations on the property for you to put yours. Stunning sunsets in the distance and views back to the homestead, creek and the specular rock wall are just some of the views from your marquee.
Forget about early curfews and strict wedding venue restrictions, being a private property, Barunah Plains is able to offer greater flexibility and endless options that many venues simply can’t.
We don't have locked in suppliers, so you can bring in all of your preferred ones, making your wedding truly yours. If you don’t know where to start with planning your wedding don't panic, we have many reputable suppliers that we love working with at Barunah Plains that we can recommend.

The location and time of year we were married, made the homestead look incredibly beautiful with the autumn leaves. We had a bit of a windy day, but there are multiple areas to hid from the wind to then enjoy it all. Beautiful location and perfect for everything I dreamt about for our wedding.Ali was so lovely to work with and made all the small details for our wedding easy to organise and arrange. The location and time of year we were married, made the homestead look incredibly beautiful with the autumn leaves. We had a bit of a windy day, but there are multiple areas to hid from the wind to then enjoy it all. Beautiful location and perfect for everything I dreamt about for our wedding.

Our top priorities for our wedding were to have an option for guests to stay (shearer's quarter's and glamping tents), and no curfew so the dance floor could go all night long. Our recovery day was by the pool next to the homestead and it was SO much fun. Our phones have been going off with messages from our wedding guests saying that was the best wedding they've been to...... And we'd have to thank the property and location for that!Seriously the most perfect wedding venue.
