White Ribbon Productions Full Description
You hire my DIY cameras and have your friends and family film your special day for you. I then edit all the footage in to a beautiful montage for you to watch back with everyone. This fun alternative to the traditional style of wedding video creates a more personal video as your day is captured through the eyes off your loved ones. Also, guests are usually more likely to let their hair down and have fun in front of the camera when they know the person behind it. You get a 30-40 minute montage highlighting all the best bits from the day, with songs of your choice to play throughout. It all goes on to a USB with two separate chapters for the ceremony and speeches in full. There are options for extra add ons as well, which I am happy to discuss.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

I have so many fun memories of weddings that I have edited over the years, but my favourites are the ones that make me laugh out loud. I have edited weddings where the best man has danced in to the cake and knocked it over, the whole bridal party have performed a marryoke sequence before the ceremony, major dance offs and fun and games at the end of the night!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, interactive, upbeat, professional, personal

What about your business are you most proud of?

I am proud to offer services for bride and grooms to be that are a little different to the traditional style of wedding videos and are budget friendly.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Try not to worry and stress too much. Have fun making lists and trying to stay within budget (which doesn't happen) Everything works itself out at the end and the most important thing is each other.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I do love when the cameras are set up somewhere at the reception, for guests to go and say a nice message for the bride and groom. You can get a few funny moments thrown in there too and it's lovely for the bride and groom to look back on after.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Once a couple get in touch, I will answer any questions they may have and then if they are happy to proceed, I will take a £250 deposit to secure their booking. I will keep in touch with the couple and then three weeks before the wedding, I will ask for the remaining amount of money. I will send my cameras to the couple via courier free of charge with easy instructions on how to use the cameras and top tips on what to film. After the wedding, I will arrange for my cameras to be collected by courier free of charge and then I will send the couple a post wedding questionnaire, to get all the details I need i.e. music, wedding location, names I will then edit the couples video, which will take between 4-6 weeks, put everything on a USB including separate chapters for the ceremony and speeches in full and send it out to my couple free of charge.

What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?

The best thing about having your friends and family film your day for you, is that they know you best! There have been lovely moments caught on camera by my clients that a normal videographer may not catch. I edited one wedding where the cameras were taken in on the guest bus that was taking them to the venue. There were a lot of important guests on the bus and the cameras caught some lovely messages, singing and fun throughout the journey.

What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?

Sometimes, if you don't choose the right people to film for you, you risk important parts not being filmed or people being too silly with the cameras and not filming the right things. There was one wedding I edited that looked like it was so much fun, but one of the guests forgot to film the whole ceremony. I managed to salvage ceremony part by inserting a lovely montage of the couples professional photos that were taken during the ceremony, but part of me wished I had been there to guide the guests.

What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?

The party section is always the most upbeat and fun part of every video I edit and there are so many songs that are great to have play over the top. From 80'S classics to todays top charts. As long as they are fast, happy and fun!

Describe how you got into videography.

I studied drama and performance at university in 2008 and got introduced to video editing. When I graduated in 2011, I went on to become a freelance video editor for six years and worked for a variety of wedding video companies. After editing my own wedding video in 2017, I decided to take a risk and start my own video editing business. Coming from a big family, weddings are a regular thing for me and I absolutely love telling peoples stories and making a beautiful memory for you to treasure forever.
