What is your most memorable wedding?
The first wedding I filmed as a junior camera operator. It was at Babington House, which was a lovely venue and the day was very special - and everything was new to me. I discovered my love for weddings there - as well as discovering one of the best wedding cakes I've ever tasted.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
authentic, candid, genuine, non-intrusive, cinematic
What about your business are you most proud of?
We are honest - we let people know if we think we are not the right supplier for them.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
This too shall pass
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I once saw the Bride's mother pinch the Groom's father's bottom. That was a very personal touch.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We chat over email and phone to come to an agreement on film(s) and cost, then we meet for a virtual coffee to get to know each other and go over plans for the day. I'll send an email a few days before the wedding re-confirming my planned movements for the day, just to give you some peace of mind.
The day after the wedding, we'll send a teaser with some a few of the best moments, so you can relive some of your day straight away! Then we deliver the rest of the agreed films within one month, on a private landing page that you can share with friends and family.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
On a drone, we filmed a bride's dress being caught on fire by an errant sparkler.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Titanic. I'd be minted.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
We choose our soundtracks based on the personalities of the couple, the story of their relationship and the events on the day.
Describe how you got into videography.
I used to steal the family's video camcorder on holiday and make embarrassing films that I'd make my family sit through. I hope they've all been wiped from the face of the earth now.
