At VIP Wedding Films Scotland, we specialise in creating natural, candid wedding films that feel true to you. Our approach is simple: we blend into the background, capture the real moments as they unfold, and craft a film that reflects the genuine emotion, laughter, and connection of your day.
We believe the best wedding films aren’t staged — they’re lived. From the quiet, intimate moments to the big celebrations, we focus on storytelling that feels authentic and timeless. Every couple has a unique story, and our goal is to preserve yours in a way that you’ll want to relive again and again.
Based in Scotland and filming weddings across the country, we bring a relaxed, friendly presence and a passion for creating films that feel personal, heartfelt, and beautifully natural.
If you’re looking for a wedding film that captures the true essence of your day — the moments you see and the ones you might miss — we’d love to be part of your story.
We offer a range of options to suit every couple, including:
One of my most memorable weddings was a day where everything just felt effortlessly genuine. The couple were completely themselves, their families were full of emotion, and the atmosphere was so relaxed that I almost forgot I was working. Moments unfolded naturally — laughter during the morning prep, a beautifully heartfelt ceremony, and a dance floor that never emptied.
What made it stand out wasn’t anything extravagant, but the feeling in the room. Everyone was present, connected, and fully in the moment, which made capturing the day an absolute joy. Those are the weddings that stay with me — the ones where the emotions are real and the story tells itself.
Natural, candid, relaxed, unobtrusive, timeless.
I’m most proud of the trust couples place in me. There’s something really special about being welcomed into such an important day and knowing they feel completely comfortable with me there. When couples tell me their film feels exactly like their day — the emotions, the atmosphere, the little moments they didn’t even realise I’d captured — that means everything. Creating something that becomes part of their family memories is a privilege I never take lightly.
Give yourselves permission to slow down and be present. The day goes by so quickly, and the moments you’ll treasure most are the ones where you pause, breathe, look around and really take it all in together. Everything else will fall into place, but those little pockets of presence become the memories you hold onto for years.
One of my favourite personal touches was when a couple wrote handwritten notes to each guest and placed them at their seats. Watching people open them — laughing, crying, hugging — created some of the most beautiful, unscripted moments of the day. It reminded me how powerful small, thoughtful gestures can be, and how they bring out the emotions that make a wedding feel truly personal.
My process is all about keeping things simple and relaxed. We start with an easy chat — usually a call or message — to get to know each other, hear about your plans, and make sure my approach feels like the right fit for your day. As the wedding gets closer, I check in to go over timings and any details that matter to you, while keeping everything flexible.
On the day itself, I blend into the background and let things unfold naturally, capturing the real moments without interrupting or staging anything. After the wedding, I carefully craft your film in a natural, timeless style that tells the full story of your day. Once everything is ready, you receive your films beautifully presented and ready to relive whenever you like.
There have been so many over the years, it honestly would be difficult to pinpoint one. We filmed an event once with HRH The King, which was great and also a secret proposal on Greenan Beach in Ayr....... which was lovely to film and see the reaction of the bride to be when the proposal was made.
I make couples feel comfortable by keeping everything as natural and easy‑going as possible. I don’t ask you to pose or perform — I simply blend into the background and let the day unfold around me. Most of the time, couples forget the cameras are even there. I chat when it feels right, give space when you need it, and focus on capturing genuine moments rather than creating them. That calm, unobtrusive approach helps everyone relax so the film feels real, not staged.
My favourite soundtrack is always the one that fits your story. I actually choose the music for you — selecting tracks that match the mood, pace and emotion of your day — and then I weave those songs together with the footage to create a film that feels completely true to you both.
I got into videography through a love of storytelling and capturing real moments. What started as filming little everyday things — friends, family, travel — slowly grew into a passion for documenting people in a natural, honest way. The first time I filmed a wedding, I realised how meaningful it is to preserve a day filled with emotion, connection and memories people will look back on for years. That feeling never left, and it’s what inspired me to turn this into my career.
