What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Not really a tip but advice for the day; remember to take time out for yourselves. Everyone will want your attention on the day so make sure you set aside some time where it can just be the two of you, without any interruptions.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The bride had a photo frame charm of all of her late close family hooked to her bouquet, which I thought was a lovely tribute to them and a way to keep them close to her on this special day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After you've booked your wedding video I'll send you a booklet with everything you need to know about what I need to know before the day arrives. I'm also happy to do a pre-wedding consultation at a location of your choice, if you'd like to meet me before hand.
After the wedding I'll be in touch when I start and complete you video. If you have a USB I'll get you to check the videos before I post it to you.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
The bride arriving to the church on a horse and carriage!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I have A LOT of favorite soundtracks that I like to put to a wedding video, but the one that stands out the most is Love Never Felt So Good by Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson.
Describe how you got into videography.
I've been into videography since I was little...we're going back to the time of VHS here! I always wanted to see what was being filmed and as I got older I was constantly filming my friends and family (I have hundreds of videos of my childhood and school memories now).
After I left secondary school school I studied Creative Media at College and in 2016 I went to work for the UKs leading wedding video company 'Shoot It Yourself.'
Unfortunately SIY went bust in summer 2020 due to Covid-19, so I decided to start my own videography company and incorporate the shoot it yourself style!
