My own. It was very low key but it was one of the most important days of my life. I just wish I had a wedding video of the day.
Relaxed, unintrusive, candid, friendly, natural
The films I make and the reactions they get. To know I have captured and created something that will be watched by the couples entire family including their children, grandchildren and many generations down the line means my art will live on much longer than I will. For this I feel immensely proud.
Read my blog posts for insider advise and tips. Unlike most wedding suppliers, as a wedding videographer I attend weddings from start to finish so know what works and what don't. I'm happy to help any couples who book me with any advise and even write blog posts about what I see while doing what I do best.
Oh wow, so many. A favourite was one couple had the table wine of the same vintage as the year they met.
I like couples to enquire through my website. It is important so I can gather some vital information that can then be referred back to when I need it.
I'll then contact the couple and let them know if I am avalible for their wedding day. If I am I like to schedule a call in with the couple so we can learn more about one another. I want to know what they plan for their day and they want to learn how I will go about capturing it. We will spend quite some time in one another's company on the wedding day and this call usually helps a couple discover whether I'm the right fit for them. Just for reference, I book 99% of the couples I have a call with.
I'll then send them invoices for the payments required to book. Once the deposit is booked, the couples wedding date is secure.
Around a month prior to the wedding day I like to have another meeting with the couple. This is to reassure them and ask any last minuet questions, provide some guidance on speeches and for me to learn of any nuances they I might not be aware of. All couples have said this was invaluable in helping them have a smooth day.
On the wedding day I'm there but only just, read any of my google reviews to see I specialise in being part of the wedding party and not centre of attention. I can only create the truly natural films I do by becoming invisible. I will chat with guests, play with children, and joke with vicars. But most importantly I will capture the moments that I know will make for a great wedding film.
Then at the end of the night I will say farewell to the newlyweds and the next time they will hear from me will be once I have created their collection of films.
Every singe time a bride walks down the aisle. The feeling of emotion in the room, church, garden or hall is electrifying and there really is nothing quite like it.
Ridiculous irrelevant question. If I have to answer, a film I wrote myself.
The one that suits the wedding. Every wedding is different an all the films I create are unique. I don't copy and paste anything so can't choose 'a favourite sound track'. These questions were clearly not written by film makers.
I have a unique hobby which involves filming things. Through this I fell in love with the process and people started asking me to film for their business. I built a successful business making video content for well known brands such as banks, building societies, fashion labels, domestic appliance manufacturers etc. But during the covid period I took stock of how I was making a living and decided I wanted to do something with more soul to it than just help make companies richer. So I made the move in to filming weddings. It has been an amazing journey which I hope will continue for many years.
