Our films truly represent our couples and our edits are tailored to each individual wedding, so our films aren't boring and no 2 films feel the same.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Ask lots of questions to your suppliers, you'll get lots of amazing ideas and top tips!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
We love all the fun things like smoke grenades, sparklers, champagne spray, quirky dances - all this stuff and more gets us super excited to film.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
A month before the wedding we have a pre-wedding consultation to discuss all of the details of the day, what's important to you and what you'd really like us to capture. This helps us get a vibe of the day before hand but also is a great opportunity just to catch up before the wedding.
On the wedding day we're super chilled and mostly in the background, but we'll be there for your couple shoot and we'll always recommend shots and ways of doing things where we can. We want to capture your day and your guests as naturally as possible so we'll be fly on the wall for a lot of the day but we're super active in trying to make the day fun and make the best video for you guys, so we'll step in every now and then to make suggestions, for example when we've spotted the perfect sunset location!
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
Drone footage on a beach in Portugal, such a surreal experience!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Honestly we pick individual sound tracks depending on the couple and the vibe, but we don't use too much dramatic, slow music, and tend to lean towards the more upbeat and happy vibe.
Describe how you got into videography.
Chris stumbled upon it accidentally when he filmed a friend's wedding, then things kicked off from there. Kate joined Chris and we became Spice Wedding Films - the unstoppable husband and wife team!
