Adam has just covered the photography and videography for our wedding. although we have only had the sneak peak so far we are over the moon with the pictures already and couldnt wait to write the review. he was prompt and friendly, up for a laugh and nothing was too much to ask. He interacted well with the children and all the guests. Honestly a pleasure to meet him and have him cover our day. we just know the rest of the pictures will be as amazing as the first lot. Smeaton productions (adam) was amazing he’s super friendly and down to earth and made us all feel so comfortable when I was a bag of nerves he got everyone cheering and in the right places when needed which can be super hard when you have really big families and the photos are so amazing and I can’t thank him enough for being part of our special day if you are looking for a photographer and videographer definitely take a look he is the best

When looking for wedding photographers, we realised how much of a minefield it was. There are so many, all with different approaches and styles of photography. We wanted our photos to be traditional (without excessive editing), natural, and personal to us. When we first made contact with Adam, and having viewed his portfolio, we knew he was the one for us. Adam made sure he knew exactly what we wanted, and came up with different ideas about how to achieve the best photos possible. He was in regular contact leading up to the day which was very reassuring, especially given how stressful wedding planning can be. On the day, which again is stressful because nothing goes completely to plan, Adam made sure that the photographs were not one of the things I needed to worry about. He used the time well while I was getting ready to ensure lots of the ‘classic’ photos were taken of the bridal party getting ready and was creative in his approach. At the venue, and throughout the rest of the day, Adam was meticulous in ensuring he captured as much of the day as possible. Adam was extremely professional and integrated so well into the day – if he didn’t have a camera in his hand, you would have thought he was one of guests! This perfect balance of personality and professionalism enabled me to put my complete trust in him, which is so important when you want to just take in and enjoy the day. During the reception, Adam spent some time putting together a wonderful slide show of some of the photos he had already taken, and sent some others to me as well which was wonderful. I was overjoyed with the beautiful photos and memories already available. In addition to the above, I was extremely grateful for how Adam went above and beyond with our ceremony video. My nan became quite ill the week before the wedding and was no longer able to attend which she and I were devastated about. I asked on the off chance, not expecting him to be able to due to editing, if there was any chance of having a sample of the ceremony video for me to show my nan in hospital the day after the wedding. He managed to send the whole thing to me which I was astounded by, as he had been incredibly busy that day ensuring our day was perfect. My nan was overjoyed, and I cannot thank Adam enough for that. We have since received the rest of the photos and it made me so happy seeing all the beautiful moments Adam captured. It felt like the wedding was a long time ago so it was really lovely to be able to relive it all again. We have also had family members pass away since the big day, so seeing the beautiful pictures with these family members has been really special for us. I cannot recommend Adam enough. What ever you are looking for from your wedding day photos (or any event), Adam will do his upmost to deliver. His focus is on the customers visions and uses his creativity and talent to make this a reality. His prices are extremely competitive and he is worth every single penny.

Adam was our photographer for our wedding last Saturday. He was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Subtly in the background capturing those natural moments and then guiding us through poses. Adams communication was fantastic throughout the whole entire process and he made us feel so confident and relaxed. I would definitely recommend Smeatons productions. Just wow!! We hired Adam to do photography at our wedding and I cannot recommend him enough, he was amazing from start to finish. The pictures are amazing, he makes you feel so at ease during the chaos! Anything we wanted or needed help with he was there like a flash ready to make sure we had the most perfect day. Even enjoys a little boogie on the dance floor with everyone! The pictures we’ve received are phenomenal, captured all of our intimate and family moments beautifully. Adam is super lovely and we loved spending the day with him! Thank you for everything you did and the amazing photos!

Adam was our photographer and videographer at our wedding, he was so happy, friendly and great at thinking outside of the box, everything he did was so natural, he got alot of photos we didn't even think of, and our wedding video is absolute perfection, couldn't recommend him enough! Thank you!

Adam is such a lovely person, easy to speak with and to discuss what it is you’re looking for on your big day. He’s friendly, creative and is even great on the admin side. You know what to expect and how long the leads times are etc. Overall, very impressed and I would happily recommend him.
