What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding was Gavin & Sarah's wedding in Gisburn forrest in Lancashire in the September of 2023 (you can watch the video on my youtube page) They pretty much did everything themselves and it was amazing! It was such a wonderful and unique wedding that really reflected the couple. There were stilt walkers, fire breathers and a stage set up in the woods similar to a music festival. It was such a good day!

What about your business are you most proud of?
Im the most proud of all the lovely feedback I get from couples. I've built my little business up myself from nothing having done everything myself and figuring out whats what along the way. Hearing from couples about how much they appreciate my work really is the best. It gives me time to reflect on what i've achieved and gives me a lovely warm feeling.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Hire a good celebrant! It doesn't matter if you're having a religious ceremony or not. Someone who is charismatic, engaging and has taken the time to get to know you as people can really make a wedding! Trust me. I've seen a lot of weddings now and watching a ceremony performed by someone who doesn't care and quite clearly wants to get up the road as quick as possible is so depressing. It's arguably the most important part of your day and having a safe pair of hands who is invested in you as people can really make the day. Not only that it makes the video better as well!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I've been to several weddings now where the bride and groom have taken the time out to write personal notes to all of the guests, normally at the table during the meal. I'm always amazed at how thoughtful that is and how much effort they have gone to.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It normally starts with a Skype call and an informal chat. It's nice to hear about the couples wedding plans, how they met and getting an idea of who they are as people. We can also see if i'm a good fit for their day. If they decide to go ahead, I'll send an invoice for the deposit and get them booked in. I'll keep in touch and send them a questionnaire to fill out with all of the relevant info about the day. Then the day before I'll check in to make sure everything is good to go and that there are no last minute changes. Then on the day I'll get there early have a chat with the couple then basically blend into the background for the whole day. I'll try to be as invisible as possible. I find I'm able to capture the most authentic and natural results this way. I'll stay until about half an hour after the first dance, say good bye to the couple and head home. From there I'll start to edit the videos and usually aim to have them turned around anywhere from 1 to 2 months depending on the time of year and quantity of work.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
Fire breathers!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Forrest Gump. It's just an incredible piece of cinema and is so engaging and creative. I'm a huge fan of a good narrative and the storytelling in that film is unreal.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
It completely depends on the wedding and the couple! Usually beautiful cinematic music that doesn't detract from the story of the day.
Describe how you got into videography.
Covid! It was lockdown and I had a lot of time on my hands to assess my life and the direction I was going in. I'd had many different jobs such as an english teacher in Barcelona, working in a music venue, retail, bars etc. I wasn't doing anything I was particularly passionate about. I have always enjoyed filming and making videos but never really considered turning it into a career. I decided to try it out and haven't looked back since! Getting into weddings was a happy accident and I absolutely love it! It's the best working environment and I feel like I'm really doing something worthwhile.
