Once booked, I would arrange a meeting with the couple around one month before the big day. We would meet over coffee (at my expense!) to discuss the timetable and any special requests the couple may have.
After the day, I would keep in touch with the couple to let them know that I have started the edit (often sending them screen-grabs of the video) and giving them regular progress reports on the edit.
