What is your most memorable wedding?
One of our most memorable weddings was at a countryside estate where the couple exchanged vows under a canopy of fairy lights as the sun set. The intimacy of the setting and the raw emotion of the moment made it unforgettable to capture.

What about your business are you most proud of?
We’re proud of our ability to create films that feel personal and true to each couple. No two weddings are the same, and our storytelling reflects that uniqueness. Seeing couples relive their day with tears, smiles, and laughter is the greatest reward.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Focus on enjoying the day itself rather than worrying about every detail. The most beautiful moments are often the ones that aren’t planned — and we’ll be there to capture them.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A couple once included handwritten notes for each guest at their reception. Watching people open them and get emotional was incredibly touching and made for beautiful, candid footage.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We start with a consultation to get to know you, your vision, and your story. From there, we create a tailored plan for the day. On the wedding day, we work discreetly, capturing natural, authentic moments. Afterward, we craft your films with precision, ensuring they reflect both the beauty of your day and the essence of your relationship.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
A surprise firework display planned by the groom for his new bride — her reaction was priceless, and it created one of the most cinematic sequences we’ve ever filmed.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
The Great Gatsby (2013) — because of its grand visuals, emotional storytelling, and the way it captures love and tragedy with such cinematic flair. It’s the kind of artistry we strive to bring into wedding films.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Soft, cinematic instrumentals with crescendos that align with emotional moments. It allows the visuals and voices to shine while still adding depth and feeling.
Describe how you got into videography.
Purple 8 Productions was born from a passion for storytelling. We started in film and media, and naturally gravitated toward weddings after capturing a friend’s big day. We quickly realized how powerful it is to preserve such once-in-a-lifetime memories, and we’ve been devoted to creating timeless films for couples ever since.
