He captures those special, fleeting moments that might otherwise be missed. By working closely with you, James ensures your film matches your style and wedding theme, creating a personal keepsake you'll treasure forever.

With experience filming over 150 weddings, James brings expert knowledge and artistic care to capturing your milestone moments. While primarily serving Cornwall and Devon, Motion Farm Wedding Films is happy to travel to Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, and Gloucestershire to tell your wedding story.

How much is the deposit to secure our date?
It’s £250 to secure your date, along with completion of the booking form we send you. The remaining final balance will be required 30 days before the wedding date.
Do you have insurance?
We carry full public liability insurance for up to £5 million and professional indemnity insurance for up to £1 million.
Do you offer free consultations before we book?
Yes!, I'd be happy to jump on a Zoom call to chat through plans and talk you through my approach towards filming a wedding before you book.
Which areas of the Country to you cover?
We mainly cover Cornwall, Devon and Somerset but happy to travel it bit further if requested. We may need to charge for accommodation for weddings outside of Somerset though.
Do you film and deliver the footage in 4k?
Of course! Everything is filmed in 4k and delivered as super high-quality 4k video files in a bespoke online gallery. From here you can share with family & friends but also stream the films to a smart TV and download the original videos to your devices for safe keeping. This online gallery will be live for 10 years! You have the option to password protect everything to keep things private as well.
How does the booking process work?
We’ll send you a booking form which you simply fill out and send back to us with your deposit and you’ll be ready to go.
How long after the wedding will we receive our films?
We usually deliver a teaser film 1 week after the wedding day. The final film galleries are delivered between 12-16 weeks later.
Do you record the sound from our wedding day?
We will use wireless tie-clip microphones to record crystal clear sound from your ceremony. We usually fit one to the Groom for best results. We also record general atmosphere sound from the church and reception via shotgun mics from our cameras. All sound recorded will be professionally mixed down onto your film to provide an immersive soundtrack of your day.
Will your cameras get in the way of our guests?
Nope. We take great pride in covertly filming your wedding in an unobtrusive style. We won’t shove a camera in your guests faces while they’re eating or film over the shoulder of the vicar during the ceremony. We document your wedding naturally, sometimes from a tripod and sometimes from a handheld position, depending on the surroundings. All our camera kit is professional gear. We want everything to flow as naturally as possible.
Do you offer drone footage?
Yes. We now offer the option to have one of our videographers film parts of your wedding day from the sky, with CAA approved pilots, fully insured for up to £5M.
