Make Life Memorable Full Description
I offer videography, photography, or combined packages. Video is literally a way of life for me. I want to document everything in my own life so I can remember all the little (and big!) moments for years to come. I’m a people-watcher. I like to follow the laughter (or happy tears!) and I’m always on the hunt for the next story to unfold. That might be as simple as family members catching up because they haven’t seen each other in ages, or kids sliding across the dance floor on their knees. Often, couples say afterwards that they didn’t notice me much on the day but I captured absolutely everything could have dreamed of! I like to let the action unfold around me and not get in the way of it. My wedding films are made to celebrate not just your marriage and your history together, but they’ll also show you all those little moments you might have missed. Details… If you tell me your hand-made table plan means the world to you, you bet it’ll be going in the film! But I’m not going to include a clutter of random stuff, like a long lingering shot of your shoes, for instance, if you’re not overly fussed about them. Leading up to your day, I’ll ask you about your relationship, and your friends and family. I’ll ask you about what is important to you and what isn’t so much. That way, you can rest assured that your film will be perfectly tailored to your story and your loves, with no boring stuff in it! Audio! I did my degree in sound design, so audio is super important to me. I love a good speech, or personalised vows. Give me all of that stuff. What better way to tell your story than through you, or your loved ones, very own words? Also, not just speaking. I love the sound of birds, laughter, crackling fires… anything that will put you right back in the moment again when you watch your film back.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Memories are my thing! In case you haven’t gathered with my brand name. I think there are memorable moments in every single wedding, and the little moments are all just as important as the big ones. ... though I have to say having a bride and groom golf cart race/photoshoot was a highlight!!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

authentic, story-driven, Love-and-laughter, unobtrusive, observant

What about your business are you most proud of?

I love telling stories. Sorry if I have said that too much but it’s true! When I can absolutely nail a couple’s story, and capture it authentically... arrgh! It makes me so excited.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Pick suppliers you have things in common with because you will be sharing such an important day with them! your vibe, your tribe!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love it so much when people add in little details. Things that some guests might not even notice, but are so important to the couple, their relationship, and their story. For my own wedding it was Converse (my husband had Batman ones) and the music choices. I love seeing where people put their care and attention, and focusing on that with my storytelling.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I like to ask some questions and have a conversation about their relationship, but not only their relationship but their closest family and friends. For me, my friends and family are EVERYTHING, and my own wedding centred around all of us - one big celebration of our history together! So I like to learn about who and what is important to you. Once I have all the info, the plans, the vibes, then on the day I’m a total ninja. I want you to get on enjoying your day, while you’re confident in the knowledge that I’m kicking butt. I am not the loudest, or most in-your-face, but I am quite lovely (if I do say so myself!) and happy to talk and encourage anyone. I’m a people watcher at heart (not in a creepy way haha) and I follow the laughter. I follow the energy, and I just bloody LOVE capturing it all!

What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?

Not wedding related, but I went dolphin spotting in Madeira. It was this tiny little speed boat - I felt like I’d had a car accident the day after, it was so choppy! - but the dolphins, and their babies, came so close to the boat. I was out of this WORLD seeing them in their natural environment. ... I also took a £2k camera with a £1k lens and a £300 filter attached! I had no idea the boat ride would be so wet and choppy - it looked calm on the shore!! Everything got soaked. Including me, right to my knickers! But no regrets! Everything survived, and the footage left me with memories for a lifetime.

What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?

Blow Dry. A British heart-wrenching drama/comedy about a hairdressing competition! It is one of my all time faves. Makes me cry every time. Starring Alan Rickman (my fave), and Josh Hartnett, who attempts the WORST Yorkshire accents on the planet. It’s so bad. Not only is the film completely character-driven, with joy and tears and genuine humanity on display, it is also bloody hilarious. It’s made on a budget of about two pence but the story and the writing and the acting (with the exception of Josh!) just come together to make something magical. And if I directed it? I’d definitely try to sort out Josh Hartnett’s terrible accent.

What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?

It really depends on the couple! It’s a very personal choice and it has to fit with who the couple is.

Describe how you got into videography.

I adore documenting my own life on YouTube for my own memories. I have terabytes of stuff all through my life, and I love looking back on it all! I also adore photography for the same reason.
